I love this idea!  Way to honor the band.  I moved halfway through my 10th grade year and joined the band at my new school in 11th grade.  I met some of my closest friends and my first boyfriend through the band, and created wonderful memories that I still treasure.  Thanks for the wonderful project.

I think length 2 is the most flattering, and I agree with everyone else, that none of them make you look preggo  Grin

I don't think a bubble hem would be a good idea either, those tend to not be the most flattering on a lot of people.  For some reason wherever they hit on someone's thighs it makes look larger then they are.  I think option 2 would give you the most wearability.
6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Cardamom Bread with question about braiding on: January 19, 2008 05:17:49 PM
Thanks for all of the advice!!

Gannon:  It did taste good even though it looked kind of weird  Grin.  I never thought of chilling it first, that sounds like a good idea, as well as all of the other suggestions to add more flour.

I think by adding more flour and then chilling the dough I will have much better luck!
7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Cardamom Bread with question about braiding on: January 19, 2008 04:32:50 PM
I made cardamom bread for the first time last weekend.  I have fond memories of my mom making it on Christmas and Easter, and thought I would give it a try, since even if she makes it we are in different states and that does me no good.  It came out really well, but I ran into difficulties when trying to braid it (as you can probably see in the pics Undecided ).  Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Sliced cabbage, carrots, diced tomatoes, ramen noodles and vegetable broth.  Cook the veggies in the broth and then throw in the ramen noodles.  It makes a great vegetable soup!  No other noodles work as well as the ramen.

These are so good.  I made them today, and my boyfriend and I have been eating them since they came out of the fridge.  We had them at a Halloween party and loved them.  I was so excited to see a recipe here!!
10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Lunch ideas on: January 13, 2008 03:43:56 PM
I found this blog the other day and it may have some helpful suggestions you can use, I have found some good ideas :

The last one has some really good ideas about using separate small soup or thermos containers for foods other then soups.  Also there is mention of an oven lunchbox that he could plug into a car cigarette lighter.  Hope this helps.
