Wow, you're very patient to stick with something that needs that much precision. They look very professional to me. Have you considered taking the folios to a book printer and asking if they could trim the edges for a tiny fee or for free?

It may not need to be a book printer, any local press may have the right equipment.

I think the real art is in the design and creation of the book, a little trim at the end by someone else I wouldn't consider a cheat. They're lovely trimmed or not!

Skull and cross bones - brilliant idea for a 10 yr old!

My (nearly) 10 yr old boy might be into stitching an electric guitar, think I'll draw one - summer holidays will be here in a few weeks, it would be a good little project for him to take his time on.

Wow, thanks for the great feedback. Embroidering children's art is a real labor of love for parent and child!

They're both really lovely, nice stitching! The ladybird is great. Embroidery can be a bit like an impressionist painting, too fine a detail can be less interesting.

Embroidered drawing by my 6 year old daughter on a piece of antique linen. It's an Italian princess. We collaborated on the colour choices and this is our final piece. It was harder than I thought it would be to keep it exactly like her drawing - had to simplify it here and there.

Here is her original drawing.

Fantastic, great concept. Wouldn't the world be great if guns shot love!
