1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Vintage train case smells on: February 06, 2009 06:14:55 AM
My Grandma gave me one of those vintage train cases (it looks like this only mine is white) that she's had for years.  I love it! But the problem is is that it smells like old makeup.  I'm wondering if theres a way to get that disgusting smell out of those things?  I figured I would ask before I do because I don't want to ruin it.  Thanks!

*falls out of chair*

This is just what I've been looking for!  I just recently got over my fear of zippers and need a nice handmade project bag for my sock knitting.  Thank you so much for taking the time to do this tutorial!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! so much for this tutorial!  I've been deathly afraid of zippers for the longest time, plus I lost my zipper foot (I blame it on letting my kids get into my craft stuff).  The directions were super easy and I'm in love with my new zippy pouch.

I like it, but maybe you could add a little wood burning decoration to it.  Just a thought, it is nice though.  Smiley
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: CPSC to put WAHM (D)s out of business on Feb 10th on: January 06, 2009 08:07:11 PM
It absolutely breaks my heart!  I just read about this today over on etsy.  I feel much more safer buying a toy/item for my child from someone who handmade it than to any corporate company.  Your not sitting there second guessing the handmade item.  It's just absolutely heartbreaking.

Now, I have a question (because I haven't seen it on any other website) I make stuff for my kids and do not sell handmade children's items.  Will this apply to those who make children's items as a hobby?
