1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / unlicensed fabric on: April 02, 2009 02:36:07 PM
Where do you find unlicensed fabric that can be made into items and resold without the fear of some company coming after you?
2  UNITED STATES / South Carolina / thoughts on Charleston on: September 29, 2008 07:13:59 AM
We are looking at both Charleston and San Jose, CA for our next duty station. What do you guy think of Charleston, is it artsy, are there places to get craft supplies, any cool craft shows, etc?
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / "adopt me!" bandannas on: April 01, 2008 09:03:19 PM
I made this bandanna for my foster puppy to get him noticed. He's so cute but really shy so I figured he needed a little style.

Kevin with it on, but its blurry because puppies wiggle all the time

Better shot.

What do you think, is it cute enough to get my pooch adopted? I am thinking I might make more for the dogs to wear at adoption days in the rescue president wants some.

ps- the seams look crooked but they're not, the bandanna was curled up on my lap a bit.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / no-sew fleece dog bed on: March 30, 2008 07:41:45 PM
I was rummaging around in a spare closet for who knows what and found a foam mattress pad, folded in quarter. I took it out and brought it out the living room, where the puppy immediately pounced on it. I used some USMC fleece (my hubby is enlisted) and made this dog bed. Now, we have two dog beds so the foster puppies can quit stealing my dog's bed.

the bed itself

Kevin my lovely assistant modeling the bed for your viewing enjoyment. He is a 30lb lab/shep puppy, so it gives you an idea of the bed's size.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / for my deployed groom on: January 23, 2008 08:22:40 PM
I made my husband this little shrine thingy for him to put near his bunk. I used shrinky dinks for the banners and the birds, and everything else is paint, glitter, and paper. The picture is of us, walking away from the camera on our wedding day.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / advent calendar on: January 23, 2008 08:14:59 PM
After christmas, I found this advent calendar on sale. I bought it and made it cool. It was boring burgundy when I got it, and now its all pretty! The knob from Dec 7th fell off, so I need to glue it back on, and then its done.

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / A very Piratey Christmas (card) on: October 15, 2007 07:40:52 AM
Yo ho ho! I've started my cards early this year.... here they are!!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Let's bring the poodle back on: October 12, 2007 11:54:37 AM
I think the poodle skirt needs to be brought back into style. I think we're just the group to do it. Who's with me?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Mid-Westernized Day of the Dead hoodie on: September 15, 2007 10:49:34 PM
Despite only having been to Mexico once (border town) I really dig Day of the Dead art. I fancied up this plain hoodie for my sister's birthday by sewing a very Mid-Westernized Day of the Dead-esque skull on it. I'm too new to put photo's directly in, so please follow the links-
