41  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / What's the difference between these 2 swaps? on: November 07, 2007 01:16:05 PM
(I wasn't sure where to post this,  Embarrassed so if I should be asking someplace else, please let me know and I'll ask there. Thanks! Smiley)

Just out of curiousity ... there's the Ongoing Wish Swap and the Monthly Wish List swap. I saw in the swap details that the picking of the sender/receiver is different between the 2, but other than that, they look like the same kind of swap? Am I missing a small, but important, detail?

42  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can anybody translate Finnish knitting to English knitting? on: November 03, 2007 10:51:36 AM

I *think* this site has instructions on how to make the mittens in the picture? The chart's no problem, I think. I tried putting the site through an on-line translator but nothing that made sense came out  Cheesy Thanks!
43  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / A question before I start my first purse on: September 03, 2007 10:56:07 AM
I was wondering, if I put pockets on the inside to hold things like a PDA, cellphone, small misc things, etc, how can I reinforce the pockets or the lining or whatever so the side of the purse doesn't 'fall in'?

I've bought purses that have inside pockets and just having a cell phone in the cellphone sized pocket is enough to pull the side in and out of shape.  Sad

I'm thinking of a quilted-fabric totebag-ish, those seem popular now and putting in pockets, but not if the sides get yanked out of shaped, and I'd rather not have everything loose inside.
