4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Girly Care Bear crocheter bag (rainbows inside) on: September 03, 2008 08:32:32 PM
I've made this one for the Invite Your Partner Swap round 9, and I must say I am so pleased with how it came out, it was for NerdyCrochetGal, my lovely crocheter partner has a little boy that loves to play with yarn, so I tried to make a bag to keep the yarn safe from the baby, and the baby safe from the hooks... I had this care bears fabric lying around for ages, and never had an enough awesome proyect to use it, but I read somewhere that my partner likes care bears so I start with it, then I found some matching laces and the rainbow idea came out... so this is what I've made...

and an action pic, fake action of course, because I cant crochet for my life

and some inside close ups, can you see it is rainbow quilted?

when I was just finishing it, my hubby came and told me: wow, this is cute... buuuuut, is not so girly for her?... --little silence-...
OH MY GOD!!! IT IS SO GIRLY FOR HER!!!  Shocked what I am going to do now??

Mi girl jumped out with the awesome idea of keeping it for herself LOL but I didnt fall in that trick, and sent it to my partner  anyway, oh yes, she did like it  Grin

let me know what do you think please Smiley

thanks for read/watch

I made this for IYPswap 9 and I am soooo proud of it, I also made the t-shirt from scratch. It is size 2 years and I was tempted to keep it for my 2 yo son LOL but I made it with so much love for my swap-friend's son so I must make another for my kid (and for me)  Smiley

thanks for your comments  Smiley
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / La Catrina (This is what we call puppet) on: August 08, 2008 02:05:47 PM
This is a mexican Ttere (puppet) I made for NerdyCrochetGal in the IYP 9 swap, and wanted to show you what are we call puppet here in my country. It has some mistakes because it is my first ttere, but I enjoyed too much making it, so I probably will try it again  Smiley

she has plastic head and hands (that I painted), and wood feet, the rest of her body is a wood stick and fabric, I made all her outfit, her hat is fomy that I heated with the iron and gave it that form with fingers.

here she is, showing her undies.

and a close up

sorry for the blurry pictures, I took it with the cell phone, here is a bonus video where she is dancing

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / convertible dress as a cocktail dress on: August 06, 2008 06:00:23 PM
Well, my cousin fell in love with my convertible dress (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=259357.msg2903087#msg2903087) so she asked me to make one sort ok cocktail dress with the same pattern, and this is what I made.
It has a wide A line skirt, and the top has some adjustments too, to make it with more shape.
thanks for your comments Smiley

I didnt like how is tied in this last picture, the know looks so big
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First attempt to infinity dress, and I loved it!! on: July 25, 2008 02:53:08 PM
well, I have been wanting to make a convertible dress for ages, there was coming my childrens birthday party, and I wanted to use my lovely new shoes... I have nothing to match with them, I know! catastrofe!!... so I jump into the deep world of my fabric stash and guess what! I found an amazing fabric just the same colour of my shoes  Grin so I cant let  pass the oportunity to try the infinity dress, even when the fabric wasnt enough , the long stripes came out not so long, and the skirt had to be cutted in four pieces, but anyway, I love it and definitley want to make it again (but red, and something silky)
well enough words, let's go to the pictures!

sexy shot Wink

I hate this one, I look like a pregnant (but trendy) woman  Cheesy but you have to see the skirt wide, and the other way I tied.

and least, check how my beloved shoes match perfectly with the fabric (sigh)

EDIT: oh my God! I forgot to put the tutorial link, sorry, it was inspired in the Rostitchery infinity dress here: http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/infinity-dress.html

but I had to change a bit, because my fabric wasnt enough to make a circular skirt... and I really prefer this pattern, because the circular skirt makes me feel bigger , so I changed the circular skirt to a four pieces semicircular skirt,  and also puted a tube in the chest to make it more wearable, but I have to say that when you put without the tube (I hide it down) the dress looks amazingly sexy, maybe I will upload some pictures like this when I can fix the uploading trouble

My cousin fall in love with the pattern so I had to make one for her, I cant upload pictures ot it already, but I will show you soon, it was for a wedding party, so it was more as a cocktail dress...

please, tell me what you think
sorry about my english, as usal  Wink
