11  Re: The Crazy for Mental Wellness Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by mirchita on: September 08, 2008 10:43:44 PM
well, I has been a week since my partner received, so I think its ok to post some pictures...

Bi-polar cozie (that I entered in the current craftster challenge)

I sent a bear hug too

that was an XL t-shirt that I fitted into a med, and then aplique tha bear in brown cotton, and painted it

I hope Adetten is ok now, that bear hugged so strongly  Wink

and last, I made two random beaded bracelets, they represent the good days and the bad days we use to live

the black one has a cristal bead at the end, and it has a rose inside that try to be a remebering that life has beautifull things waiting for us to go over the depression days. it is made of several sort of beaded and cristals.

The colorfull one is made only of cristals, and it looks beautifull with the sun ligth, I am sorry for the blurry pics they were taken with a cell phone, but doesnt make any justice. It has some jingle bells (is it the name?) at the end, it represents days with energy and joy.

and there was a mexican artisans painted ashtray, because she collects ashtrays, that I have no picture of.

I dont know what happend whit her, but I hope she is all right, and I hope she liked what I made for her.

14  The Girly Care Bear crocheter bag (rainbows inside) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mirchita on: September 03, 2008 08:32:32 PM
I've made this one for the Invite Your Partner Swap round 9, and I must say I am so pleased with how it came out, it was for NerdyCrochetGal, my lovely crocheter partner has a little boy that loves to play with yarn, so I tried to make a bag to keep the yarn safe from the baby, and the baby safe from the hooks... I had this care bears fabric lying around for ages, and never had an enough awesome proyect to use it, but I read somewhere that my partner likes care bears so I start with it, then I found some matching laces and the rainbow idea came out... so this is what I've made...

and an action pic, fake action of course, because I cant crochet for my life

and some inside close ups, can you see it is rainbow quilted?

when I was just finishing it, my hubby came and told me: wow, this is cute... buuuuut, is not so girly for her?... --little silence-...
OH MY GOD!!! IT IS SO GIRLY FOR HER!!!  Shocked what I am going to do now??

Mi girl jumped out with the awesome idea of keeping it for herself LOL but I didnt fall in that trick, and sent it to my partner  anyway, oh yes, she did like it  Grin

let me know what do you think please Smiley

thanks for read/watch

I made this for IYPswap 9 and I am soooo proud of it, I also made the t-shirt from scratch. It is size 2 years and I was tempted to keep it for my 2 yo son LOL but I made it with so much love for my swap-friend's son so I must make another for my kid (and for me)  Smiley

thanks for your comments  Smiley

19  La Catrina (This is what we call puppet) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by mirchita on: August 08, 2008 02:05:47 PM
This is a mexican Ttere (puppet) I made for NerdyCrochetGal in the IYP 9 swap, and wanted to show you what are we call puppet here in my country. It has some mistakes because it is my first ttere, but I enjoyed too much making it, so I probably will try it again  Smiley

she has plastic head and hands (that I painted), and wood feet, the rest of her body is a wood stick and fabric, I made all her outfit, her hat is fomy that I heated with the iron and gave it that form with fingers.

here she is, showing her undies.

back view

and a close up

sorry for the blurry pictures, I took it with the cell phone, here is a bonus video where she is dancing

Thanks for watching! and for comment too!

I am so sorry, I just realized that I've never posted pictures of the awesome badges NerdyCrochetGal sent to me. I asked her for some police or fireman thrifted uniform, so I can have some badges and some fabric to recon, I also asked her if she can send a fireman uniform with the fireman included, thats because she made the handsome fireman for me  Grin
this are the patches, and one box of bubble gum, the other one expired already

I am planning to make some naugthy costumes with them  Roll Eyes My husband asked me to have one, but he didnt decided yet what would he do with it  Cheesy I think I must make a purse with some yellow vinyl, but I dont decide it yet

The CSI one make me dance  Grin
