1  Re: IYP 9: Midsummer Masquerade Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by eralc on: February 28, 2009 03:07:24 AM
I received my package from my amazing angel, Holliewood yesterday. I love it all so much, everything is beautiful.

Here are all the amazing goodies she sent me.

First there was this AMAZING Japanese messenger bag! I love it and I think I'll use it as my school bag.

She also sent me some fantastic scrapbooking supplies which I love (the little mouse stamp is so adorable! and red and blue are some of the only ink pads I don't have). They're perfect and I can't wait to use them in my art journaling.

Next are these beautiful heart brooches. I had put these on my wists, but the ones Hollie made are definitely better than the ones sold on Etsy!

I think this is my favourite item - a beautiful tree of life pendent. I've wanted one of these for so long and this one is amazing. I've been wearing it all day!

I've hung the pink heart brooch on my new inspiration wire above my art desk and it looks great!

This is the lovely card Hollie sent me, also on my inspiration wire.

She also sent a silk scarf and some beautiful earrings that I forgot to take a close-up of.
I absolutely love everything - i'ts all so perfect! I can't thank you enough Holliewood!

2  Outback Australia - my photography in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by eralc on: October 18, 2008 07:50:31 PM
So a few months ago my family and I went on a six week trip around northern Australia in our caravan/trailer/whatever you want to call it. It was a really amazing experience and there were some great photography opportunities (actually, my Dad and I took more than 5000 photos between us Tongue).

This was taken in Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory (one of my favourite places from the whole trip).

Also taken at Litchfield.

A leaf skeleton that was also taken at Litchfield.

This was at Ubirr Rock, Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory. We climbed to the top of the rock to watch the sunset. It was so beautiful, an amazing experience (except for the mosquitoes, LOL).

My brother at Ubirr Rock.

Another shot taken at Ubirr Rock.

This one's at the Devil's Marbles Conservation Reserve, Northern Territory.

Taken at King's Creek Station, near King's Canyon, Northern Territory.

The cliched sunset Uluru/Ayer's Rock shot. I don't think you can really appreciate how beautiful (and BIG) it is in photos though.

Kata Tjuta/the Olgas at sunset.

I hope you like them! There's some more on my Flickr page if you're interested (link in my signature).

3  Re: Make-A-Friend Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by eralc on: June 02, 2008 03:11:31 AM
I sent two packages to my original partner, but she disappeared, so DV and KittenWrangler gave me my super awesome new partner, Scrapnqueen, to swap the last package with. She's sooo nice and we have heaps in common! She sent me two packages, an amazing intro package and a larger package which I should be receiving this week. I got the introduction package about a week ago, but haven't had time to post pictures until now.
In the intro package were these ADORABLE polymer clay stitch markers! Cheesy Cheesy They are so cute! I've used them a lot already.

There was also some amazing fortune cookie beads! I LOVE these, and I can't wait to use them. I have plans for earrings and maybe a charm bracelet.

She also sent some lovely scrap papers for me to use in collages. I love the bright flower one on the bottom right.

And lastly there was this beautiful card with the letter inside.

Thank you so much Scrapnqueen!! I absolutely love it all, and I can't wait to get the other package! Grin

4  My first amigurumi! (Picture heavy) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by eralc on: May 23, 2008 09:16:13 PM
I started making amigurumi at the end of last year and I think I'm addicted! Cheesy Here are my amigurumi so far.

This was my first amigurumi. It came out a bit weird looking but I was proud of it.

My second amigurumi was a little turtle. I think he came out fairly cute.

Next I made a little strawberry girl. The pattern is from Owly(http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5347491).

This is my favourite amigurumi so far. It's a little robot - I got the pattern from a Japanese amigurumi book. I made it for a swap, but I was flaked on, so I don't know what happened to it. Sad

For Christmas I made my little brother this monkey. I got the pattern from the same book as the robot.

I also made this bunny for my Mum for Christmas. This is the first amigurumi that I made up the pattern for. Mum said she loved it!

I hope you like them! Smiley This is my first real project post, so I'm a bit nervous.

6  Macro photography challenge - Spiderweb in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by eralc on: April 23, 2008 05:52:31 AM
This is my entry for the photography challenge. It's my first time entering a challenge!
I had a really hard time choosing one photo to enter because I take a lot of macro photos (I love macro!). This was taken in my backyard after some rain, with my Canon Powershot S3 IS, which has a really great macro feature. It was sharpened in Photoshop and the levels were adjusted slightly.

Here's a larger version: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p299/caramel_eclare/20080217020copy.jpg
I hope you like it! Smiley

I received my awesome angel package from noxluff yesterday. Thanks so much noxluff, I love it! It came a bit late for Christmas, but it was exciting to get more presents after all the present-giving was over.

First there was a cute felt stocking.

Then there was some purple self-striping yarn for my mum - she loves the colours and is going to make a scarf out of it.

Next, a lovely Christmas card, some great-smelling insence that I've had burning in my room all day, and lots of yummy chocolate (it's gone already!).

Then there was a gorgeous embroidered felt ornament - the stitching is so neat!

And last but not least, the present for me, a beautiful beaded necklace.

This shows the colours better.

Thank you again noxluff, you were a great angel!

Since it looks like my partner has flaked, I thought I would post pictures of the package I sent her.

Everything packaged up ready to send.

The first ornament - a decoupaged polystyrene heart.

The back of the heart.

This is the second ornament I made - a cross stitched snowflake.

The present for someone else, a shopping bag lined with soccer fabric for my partner's husband (sorry for the bad picture).

I put some Australian souvenirs and chocolate in the bag.

The random act of kindness. This was my favourite item - I wanted to keep him! I got a new Japanese amigurumi book recently, and this is the first thing I've made from it.

My present for her, a crazy patchwork journal cover.

The back of the journal cover.

I hope you guys like it. Merry Christmas everyone!

I was so excited yesterday when the postman delivered my package, and even more excited when I opened it and found the most adorable little amigurumi ladybug!

I love it! Thank you so much Hoxierice!

Wow, everyone's photos are amazing! Smiley
I recently became interested in photography, and I got a new camera for my birthday (Canon Powershot S3 IS).
Here are some of my photos:

This is one of the Zebra Finches I have in my aviary.

A macro of a tulip.

I think this is my best photo so far. It's a macro of a dandelion in my backyard.

And, yet another cat shot. This is my cat Molly.

I'm still just experimenting, but I hope you like them.
