11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Skull Messenger bag for school on: August 27, 2008 02:10:04 PM
My boyfriend's youngest brother asked me if I could make him a messenger bag for the new fall semester. I had never made a messenger bag before, but its not like that would stop me! =]

This is my lovely boyfriend modeling it for me.

Shot of the inside. Nothing special in the bag, just a zipper pocket (I couldnt get a good shot of that)

Detail of the strap.

What do you guys think?
12  COOKING / Dessert / Frozen Cookies? on: August 05, 2008 06:33:14 PM
I read on organizedchristmas.com (Which is a site that helps you have a stress-free holiday) that you can make your holiday cookies a couple months early, and just freeze them. And when you are ready, you can just thaw them back out and serve.

So, my questions is... Does this method change the taste of the cookes? (i.e.Do they still taste good? )

I want to try this method, but am afraid that the taste of the cookies could be affected.

Has anyone tried this?
Does anyone have an answer?

Thanks for reading =]
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / FOB totes (Image Fat) on: June 18, 2008 03:12:06 PM
Hello all!

I made my sister and I a couple of totes, with artistic versions of our favorite member of Fall Out Boy. I have never painted on cloth before (I haven't ever really painted ^_^;; ), and I've never made a bag before. lol. Lots of firsts, but I like how they came out.

Left: Pete Wentz. Right: Patrick Stump. (The Stump one is mine =D )

Individuals and close ups:

They need to be ironed. And I would iron them...... if I owned an iron.  Grin

Painted with acrylic paint.

Comments and critics welcome! ^^
14  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Lakers Dress on: June 16, 2008 05:03:54 PM
So, my little sister had spirit week last week at her elementary school. If you don't know what that is, it's a week long "Dress up", where everyday you are suppose to wear a silly theme (Monday: PJ day, Tuesday: Miss-matchday, etc)

So Wednesday said that it was "Sports Day" and you were suppose to wear appearel to support your favorite team. Well, my family doesn't watch many sports, so she didn't have a thing to wear! That is, if she didn't have a crafty big sister! (lol)

Its not much. Its a recon from two of my old shirts, and a bandana that had the Lakers logo. It looks cute on her (Like everything does) and she had fun wearing it.

What do you think?

I'm a project posting virgin, so be gentle! XD

15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Bikini? on: May 16, 2008 01:01:11 AM
I was wondering if it was possible to do a freezer paper transfer onto a bikini? If so, is there a special kind of paint I should use?
16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Galaxy Wedding? on: January 31, 2008 09:13:04 AM
So, my fiance and I were talking about wedding ideas. It's been a little tough to think about a way to bring in what we like, while also creating that "wow" factor.

So, we have started to develop an idea. Since he loves Star Wars (and other Si-Fi) we thought it would be cool to have a "galaxy theme" wedding. Having stars and planets, but without going to "Star Wars" wedding. We both agree that we do not want to go over board and turn it into a geek wedding (Even though we are both geeks), so we are thinking elegant, timeless, with the fantasy of the universe.

Our wedding ideas are ever changing (We aren't getting married for about 2 years), so I was hoping that you guys could help with our ideas.

Colors- Navy blue, Silver and white

Each table would be a different planet name(Maybe planets that are found in Star Wars)

Have the reception in a planetarium, with stars on the ceiling/walls

The centerpieces would be long thin vases with flowers and silver accents that would resemble starbursts

I know that isn't a lot of ideas, but like I said, we just thought of this  Smiley
You craftsers always have wonderful ideas.
Please, don't be afraid of being critical.
