1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Monkey bag on: June 01, 2008 09:09:33 AM

This bag was made for my niece Madison's thrid birthday party.  The party was jungle themed so I broke out the Sublime Stitching "Monkey love" patterns.  The images are handpainted on.  This was my first time using a Sublime pattern and not embroidering it.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Ballerina Pig on: June 01, 2008 09:04:49 AM
This was a gift for a 1 year old girly girl.

I bought the pig from Micheals and the tulle from their wedding decorations.  The pink and white gingham ribbon was from my stash.  Everything was stuck on with hot glue.  I didn't know if this was the best glue to use but it seems to be holding strong.  This is a cute and SUPER quick present for any little girl.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tim & Eric awesome embroidery! on: April 26, 2008 09:38:28 AM
This past Thursday my boyfriend and I traveled tp Ashville, NC to see the live tour for Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!  I wanted to give them some fan art because if you have ever seen the show they have a wall that they hang it all on in their office.

So- on to the embroidery!

Close up-

I used 6 different stitches to make the image.  It is based off of this pictures:

They loved the embroidery and said that they couldn't wait to hang it up in their office after the tour  Cheesy  And for fun here are some shots with them after the show.  Ignore the doofy grins and the creepy girl in the background.  Gahhh I hate it when people do that lol.

Thanks for looking.
4  COOKING / Dessert / Old people cookies on: March 10, 2008 12:47:18 PM
A few weeks ago some friends and I had an 80s party.  No, not 1980s but 80 years old Smiley

Here are the cookies I made for it:

We have crazy pills, happy pills, gdilf, gmilf, bingo, FL or bust, I <3 my grandkids, and one viagra.

Action shot!

Thats my friend Patti appropriately dressed in her grandpa glasses and a Golden Girls shirt.  She loves her grandkids!

The cookies were a hit and all gone by the time we played bingo Cheesy
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Frisky Dingo on: March 03, 2008 12:43:26 PM
For Christmas I made my boyfriend a bunch of Adult Swim themed presents.  One of them was this Frisky Dingo shirt:

Ive been stenciling for a few years now and Im not all pleased with the way that this one came out.  He likes it but for some reason no matter how hard I tried the orange still looked blotchy.  I think it might just be the blue and orange together.

Its kind of hard to Steven Colbert a pose with yourself.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Octopurse! on: February 22, 2008 12:24:17 PM
One of the cheapest crafts I have ever made.  The purse was bought for me by my Nana at a second hand store for $.50.  The floss I had but since I used 3 colors Ill just say that was around $1.50.

On to the purse.  This picture is very true to the actual color:

Thanks for looking.  Cheesy
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Marauder's Map tote! on: February 21, 2008 06:06:56 PM
This was for my friends birthday.  We are both big Harry Potter nerds so she loved it and I loved making it.  I freehanded the handwritting/drawing and then embroidered it.

This was pre-ironing and seconds after I finished.  Not sure what that black spot is on there...maybe a shadow? lol.

The back!  Thanks for looking.
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Canvas Basket on: February 01, 2008 11:52:08 AM
This is a canvas basket I embroidered for a baby shower.  The image came from Doodle Stitching and was suggested for a scrapbooking cover.

Here is another view of it:

The basket was pretty easy to embroider on.  No hoop required.  The mom really enjoyed it and now it is being using on his changing table.  Smiley
9  COOKING / Dessert / Hello Kitty Sewing cake. on: January 09, 2008 08:02:27 AM
This was my 23rd birthday cake.  I chose the image and my amazing boyfriend decorated my cake.  His mom decorates cakes so he has grown up with piping bags and buttercream icing his whole life.  I could tell he did it by the handwritting at the top lol.  Yeah, he has skills Smiley

The image is from:

Hello Kitty's Sewing line- I love it.
