I received not one, but two identical swap journals from Mlsocci74!  Now I can attempt to be more organized in all my swaps.  Once I did my first swap, I knew I was addicted and I don't see it slowing down any time soon so these will come in very handy.  Thanks Mlsocci74.

Here is a scan of what the covers look like:

I know it has been forever, but I had a package from Molliemoo2883 that I was told to wait until Christmas to open and I never posted a pic of it.  It was a fantastic bag with the cutest appliqued birds on it.  Here it is:

and a close-up of the birds:

Thank you!

Well, I know that OWS27 has been finished for most of you for quite a long time, but I was flaked on so I have been waiting for an angel.  Kittykill was wonderful enough to be may angel and she sent me three great embroidery patterns!  I am new to embroidery so I can't wait to try them out!  Here are scans of each of them:

This one is so cute.  I should start working on something now for Christmas.  Then, it might actually get done in time for the Holidays in eleven months!  I think Vixen is my favorite here.

These birds are talking!

This one is my favorite of the bunch.  I especially love the hedgehogs, birds in the tree, the sheep, okay, I actually just love all of the critters on this one and I can't get over how cute they are.

Thanks so much kittykill.  These were worth the wait!

I have been lame and have not posted pics of the wonderful stocking and goodies I received a while ago from Molliemoo2883.  Here is a pic of everything together, wrapped:

Stocking, container of my handmade chocolates and my favorite sour/gummy candy ever, a cute little wreath and a mini stocking that she said was for my desk at work.  (They are at my desk now and making me feel quite festive!)

Everything together unwrapped:

Close-up of two lovely pairs of earrings (I am wearing the silver and purple ones right now) and an amazing Russian doll shrinky dink pendant/charm which I absolutely adore!

Here is a scrap necklace from my Wists:

The cutest ornaments that are on my tree right now.  When I got paired with Molliemoo2883, I stalked her and saw that she had made some similiar ones before.  I secretly hoped she would send me some and she did!

Two matching candles:

Group photo with foam Christmas stamp, lemon soap, Carol book, large jingle bell, and New York post cards!

She even sent chocolate for my husband.  He has never received anything in a swap so he was very excited.

and him opening it:

There is one package that I can't open until Christmas.

Thank you so much Molliemoo2883.  You were a great swap partner!

It has taken a while to get these up, but here are the pics of the wonderful package that spikelvr44 sent to me.  Here is everything together: (minus a ball of yarn that snuck off for a few minutes)

Here are close-ups of a necklace and bracelet she sent.  She used metal nuts and embroidery floss.  So creative!

She wrapped the items in these two fun fabrics and sent a bag of mixed beads.

Here is a picture of the ball of yarn that didn't make it into the first photo.  It is more green in real life.  I love its texture and how soft it is.

Last, but not least, spikelvr44 made me the most beautiful hat and scarf set.  I have been wearing them everywhere.  The hat fits perfectly and the yarn colors are so wonderful.  I have been getting lots of compliments with them wherever I go.

Me wearing them!

Thanks for everything spikelvr44!  What a great swap!

I just received two packages today!  From pinokeeo, I got two ornaments--one is an origami star with a button on each side and the other is a cute wreath made from painted wooden beads.  I especially love that one because some of the beads look like little wooden spools!

Here they are together:

Here are some close-ups:

I also received from Avesthel who sent an amazingly crafted tree ornament.  It is made from silver nickel wire that she hammered so it would be extra reflective on my Christmas tree.  I love it and can't wait until the time to hang it up.

Here is the whole package: (It came in a cute little cloth bag)

Here is a close-up:

I don't know why my pictures are so small...Sorry.

28  First Quilts- 2 Baby quilts in Quilting: Completed Projects by critterpants on: November 08, 2007 09:40:43 AM
I recently moved to a different state and two of my friends were pregnant at the time.  Since I wouldn't be there for the births, I wanted to do something extra special for them so I made them each a baby quilt.  These are my first two quilts ever and I learned alot while making them.  They are machine pieced and quilted.  I have more close-ups if people are interested.  Let me know what you think.

I received from Nikkidear a few days ago and am just now able to post pictures.  She sent me not one, but three ornaments!  Two are crocheted snowflakes with green beads and the other is a painted wooden picture frame.  What picture should I put inside...hmmm... Sorry the snowflakes are a little blurry, I just couldn't get them to come out very clearly with my camera.  Thanks so much!

Dulcinea really spoiled me with all of the safety eyes she sent me.  I can't wait to make a stuffed creature to put these on!  So many choices... Grin

Yipee!  Thanks so much! Cheesy
