What's a dole whip? I thought this was a topper?

Also, I LOVE your Tiki project! But esp. Bongo Man! Cheers!

Edit - disregard. I googled it! Looks divine!

I do not mean to reduce the amount of awesomeness and hard work sonjaBoo sent...but the colors in the package made my finger do a jerk while scrolling over new photos. I hope you kept it to remake into sumpin!  PRETTY!

Also those little gelli paper are grand! Can't wait to see what you do with them!

Lindy - I just love how often you stich on printed fabric. Sew perfect.

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fabric choices for girl's quilt on: February 10, 2018 04:27:26 AM
Not blowing smoke, I love these colors!  They are feminine, but don't scream it. Very soft and almost neutral. (which I am drawn too). But my favorite is something I try to hit - the blanket and colors will grow with her. Depending on the size, this can be something she uses for many, many years.

And flannel is good for cuddlin!

I'd love to see the final piece when complete!

8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Craftster Quickies: Lip Balm in Slider Tins on: February 10, 2018 04:20:49 AM
The video made me laugh! Good job, ladies!

Will the ingredients, recipe, and resources be posted (or did I miss them)?

Also, that double boiler is super cute! Smootches! (see what I did there?)

Thanks! I just listed the ingredients on the first post. I got everything through Amazon. I believe you can get everything but the Castor oil at your local craft store. I think Michaels has a lot of the ingredients. There were leftovers so I am going to use the ingredients for whipped body butter.

Thank you for posting! I am so excited! And thanks to MareMare as well!

Sweet craftylittlemonkeymessaged me to make sure I saw this!

Also LOLS - IT BURNS! MUWAHAHHA

I think a huge difference which makes your work so lifelike is layering, MANY colors, and not being so strict about the edges. I have watched the videos you recommended for layering...I can't recall the thread, but those! The videos! And I tried it out but was disappointed in how the edges looked. Almost, TOO sharp. My favorite work was towards the end when I started getting anxious to finish, when I was less precise. Hum. (also a poor character reflection. But there you go)

Ludi - is this all embroidery floss?

Follow-up - I recall the recommendations from the video, but do you have a preference in the amount of strands you use?

Finally - how does it feel to be interrogated over thread!  *sharp arm gesture* I want the truth! *fierce eyebrows* YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH! THIS TECHNIQUE IS NOT FOR THE MASSES!
