I just saw this post.  I am in a craft drought and was trying to think of a swap idea I would be interested in.  This would be a great one.  I could post signups in the next few days with maybe a month of crafting time.  Sound good?

Any chance this might come around again?

A craft drought is a vile thing!  boo!

And I would def jump on this!  One of my favorite swaps!
4  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / UNITED STATES / Re: Craftster Meetup ~ April 26-28, 2019 in Asheville, NC! on: June 12, 2018 12:28:40 PM
Is anyone planning on going down early and/or staying over a day or 2?

I wouldn't mind heading there early or staying an extra day.  Get a hotel room closer to downtown for one evening and see a few extra sites, so that we don't cut into so much of our time that we don't get to craft.  Smiley

oohhhh!!  *wiggly eyebrows*  I don't really have a preference about early arrival, or layover, so if you (OR ANYONE) is interested, I think it would be fun to knock around town!  I will probably go to Biltmore just because I can't be in the area and not see it.

Segue - in addition to your haunted link (FUN!), I also checked and there are 2 ghost towns within an hour drive of Asheville. (Lost Cove & Henry River Mill Village)  I'm not suggesting for the few days, because both require hiking in and out so with drive, it has some serious time constraints.  But throwing it out for those who might be interested!

**edit** Ha! Henry River Mill Village was used as District 12 in the Hunger Games series. I had no Idea when I originally posted.

Of course no one will be left out of brewery tours! PB/Studio ANF - maybe you can give us suggestions based on your experience.

CLM - that's a big yes to hiking and yoga.

ETA: I have friends that live in the area and they post pictures of these AMAZING hikes they take at sunset - the pictures are just WOW. I'll have to reach out and ask for hiking suggestions.

And they frequent the sliding rock:

Tarot, hiking, meditation, yoga, brewery tours, and all manner of crafting?

I know right, it's like a list of all my favorite things!

The sliding rock!!! That looks like crazy fun!

Tarot, hiking, meditation, yoga, brewery tours, and all manner of crafting? I feel like a little kid with a promised vacation SO.FAR.AWAY.!

Also, CLM, I can't wait to meet your sweetie!

I saw there was a question mark beside my name, and I would love to teach weaving on preprepared clay looms. Or easy batik fabric dying?  if there is interest? No pressure - it looks like it will be a busy couple of days.

The only reason I had a question mark there, was that in the post you mentioned it in, you sounded unsure if that was a possibility.  I've removed the question mark, and added the option of batik dyeing.  I'd be thrilled to learn either, or both!

Oh yes, I get that. It's so hard to read interest when people aren't in front of you, so it was more of a ...what might people want to do (because I like to share/contribute.  Also I'm excited about the trip), but don't want to be pushy if people are not really interested? But everyone is trying to be polite. But it's really internet crickets, because everyone is nice. In person you can just judge better.

Okay, thanks for clarifying!

Also, I added some of our proposed ideas to the first post of this thread.  I've got a giant google doc going too but thought I'd distill some of it down for clarity's sake.

Thanks for all your work! You're a rockstar!

How did I miss photo hosting go down? I'll go check the thread. Bummer.
