1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my version of rickrackruby's necktie bag on: May 13, 2008 04:58:51 PM
I love my bag and the tutorial that rickrackruby put together.  Thanks for looking!

I've been wearing it around and have already received many compliments!  I'm psyched.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Am I turtle-ly enough for the turtle club on: April 12, 2008 05:21:04 PM
I love that saying...I can't even remember the movie but anytime we see something with a turtle on it we say it...LOL....Here is a dress I made my daughter to mimic a pillowcase dress out of some turtle fabric I found at JoAnn Fabrics...

What do you think?  Is she turtle-ly enough?  hehe(please disregard the stuff on her face)

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Cute as a Button Costume on: March 17, 2008 12:02:31 PM
Here is a halloween costume I made my daughter when she was almost 3.  I used 2 green gloral wreath forms and covered them in fabric.  Covered cardboard for the middle and cut out 4 holes and put yarn through them.  Made 2 shoulder straps to connect the buttons and glued buttons all over her black turtleneck and pants.  Her hair bow also had a big button on it.  Everyone commented and loved this costume and I have yet to make one that eveyone likes as well.

I hope you enjoy!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cherry Half Apron on: March 14, 2008 11:31:00 AM
Here is my half apron modeled by my lovely china hutch...hehe

This is one of the first things I made with binding.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Sundress Orange/Beige Changed back design on: March 11, 2008 06:42:23 PM
This is the 3rd dress I've ever made.  I used a pattern for everything except the back and the bias tape around the arms, top and back closure.  I also created a button hook out of fabric on the back top to close the back.  I also added a belt around the middle because it didn't quite look right without it.

Front of Dress

Back of Dress(disregard how the bow looks)

Comments welcome.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Mens dress shirt turned girls sundress - Using Cheytown tutorial on: March 11, 2008 06:31:46 PM
This is the 2nd dress I've ever made.  Thanks to Cheytown's tutorial to turn a mens button down top into a dress.  I will definitely be doing more of these.  Thanks Cheytown!!!!!!  I didn't do the blox pleats around the bottom but I did try them on the top.  Maybe next time.

Comments welcome.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / floral sundress - first post(first dress) on: March 11, 2008 06:22:41 PM
I have been so inspired by all of you that I decided I would try and sew some dresses for my daughter.  Here is the first dress I have ever made.   She is 5 years old and I have always wanted to make her clothes but never had the nerve.  Thanks everyone for the push.

Comments Welcome.
