2  Re: Book Lovers Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by MonicaElaine on: March 29, 2009 05:04:09 PM
I guess Lylanni and I were quick to finish.  Here is what I received.......

Here's the whole kit and kaboodle, I love the red and black book cover that she made. It's so pretty and I love the fabric used.  Just the whole idea of it is great.

A close up of the tote lining, love the fabrics!

This closer view shows the book marks she made.

This was my first swap and I loved it.  My swap partner Lylanni was great, and I can't wait to participate in another.  I hopy Lylanni gets my package soon and I really hope she likes what I sent!!!!!

3  Diaper bag crazy! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MonicaElaine on: February 16, 2009 02:18:46 PM
I happen to have a co-worker that is pregnant and is camo crazy!  So in order to fulfill her desires for a cool camo diaper bag, I put together the following.

This bag was such a pain to make.  I reworked a McCall's pattern to remove the flap, add a zipper and changed the strap.  I also added some d-rings so the mom can attached keys or such things.  On top of that, the camo and black lining are both a heavy canvas and really tried my patience and the new machines abilities.

Hope she likes it!  Thank goodness she is having boy, can't imagine making a camo bag for a girl.

5  Homecoming dress complete in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by MonicaElaine on: November 05, 2007 11:14:14 AM
Ok, this is my 1st post.  I have been lurking around for awhile and think everyone that posts to these boards are some of the most talented folks I've ever seen.

This is my dd's homecoming dress, sewn from a Butterick pattern, with a few alterations to the style.  She received so so many compliments on this dress!  I am very proud of this work and wanted to share.

The bracelet was made from a tut I saw on here, but can not find the link.  My apologies for not being able to credit the correct creator.

Thanks for looking!
