1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need instruction page for Bucilla stamped Tree o Liife Quilt on: September 20, 2018 09:41:51 AM
Following their instructions leads to a beautiful quilt, but if you are interested in doing something different. . . My grandma used to make these stamped quilts for her grandchildren to be wedding presents.  She did the whole thing in one color of variegated yarn and then had them backed in a fabric that matched.  All of them came out amazing. She used this line https://www.dmc.com/us/pearl-cotton-balls-size-8-9002597.html.  With that being said, I hope you find your instructions!

The skirt with the heart pockets is lovely. I wish I was better at sewing and could make something like that.

Quaggy - the scarf made from layers of flannel is awesome.  Thank you for sharing how you did it!

So many pretty scarves.  I like the green and black set that can be worn together.  And the star wars scarf is great too!

aww---how is the scarf modeled by the cutiepie baby made?  I love the color!

I'm not positive - Megz1027 would have to answer for sure - but I think she did multiple long rows of single crochet using Lion Homespun.

I received my scarf last night from Megz1027.  Thank you so much.  It's quite long, and fun.  My daughter thought so too, so I let her model it for the photo.  She also picked up the extra (a cute green bookmark) and started waving it just as I took the picture, so there is a little blur.  Thank you again Megz!

Still working away on my scarf.  I will be sending by the deadline.  Technically I could send now, but I want it longer.  Between getting our house ready to sell and an almost one year old that has decided naps are the devil, this is taking longer than I expected  Roll Eyes

I was hoping to be done with my scarf by now, but still working away.  If only I could function on less sleep.  I'd get so much more crafty stuff done that way!

I've started my scarf, and I'm liking it quite a bit.  I'm a little worried that I won't have enough yarn to get the length I want though.  If not I'll just have to make another one   Cheesy

I think I've found the pattern I want for my partner.  Now I just need to do some digging through my stash and see if I have the supplies or if I need to go shopping!
