I've been sick lately and pretty much bed and couch ridden, and that gets very old, so I thought I would sew to keep my mind off of how bad I felt.  All of them have zippers in the back.  I used New Look pattern 6345.  I got it at Wal-Mart for $2.74.  I was supposed to use eyes and hooks, but I don't like those, so I didn't, and the zipper works just as well on its own.

This skirt I actually made last week, before I got sick.  I got the fabric at Wal-Mart in the clearance bin.  I don't know why my navel looks so icky here.  It's not that gross, I promise.

These two I made when I was sick.  I got this fabric at Wal-Mart for $2 per yard.

This fabric I got for $2.44 per yard at Wal-Mart.  They may suck for just about everything else, but you can find some good cheap fabric there.

So, for a sum total of $13.62, plus tax, I got three skirts!

Yes, I will test it water-wise in the bathtub.  I do not want my big old boobies coming out in front of people.

June 7th eh?  Grr I just ordered the new Weezer CD, and the Teenage Fanclub CD is also coming out on June 7th.  Damn not having any money!!

Well, I am anti-fanny pack, but that one is very very cute!  I wouldn't even consider it a fanny pack.  It's more of a girly utility belt.  Smiley

I made one of those!  My boyfriend lives in England,  Cry  so we only see each other every few months, and I keep EVERYTHING (except his chewing gum, that's just weird  Tongue).  I have the airport parking ticket from the very first time he came to see me, and the ticket from our first meal out, of course all the airplane tickets and online booking receipts from when I've gone to see him, tickets from other things we've done, train tickets, and all kinds of silly sweet stuff like that.  I even kept a  10 pound note from England, which is almost $20.00 of our money, but I can't bear to part with it.  Anyhow, isn't it nice to look back on all of those things and remember how wonderful everything is with your guy?

The cute thing is, he's kept all that kind of stuff too (he's even got the paper that I wrote our phone-in pizza order on when we were staying at a hotel!), only it's on a tackboard in his room instead of a girlfriend box.  Maybe I can make him a girlfriend box!

Well, I don't think it's gross at all.  I mean, it's your mouth and all.  I didn't get a choice to keep my braces.  That is really a cool idea Smiley

Neato-keen!  Where can one find a tape measure of color?  I have only seen the white ones.

and then my roommate wanted me to make her one, so i did.

and then the girl from down the hall wanted one, and i made it.

and then another girl, i don't know, wanted one, and i said i should start charging....

I have ALWAYS hated that, people begging me to make them clothes and stuff like I'd made for myself.  I always suggest that if they wanted something, they learn to make it themselves, or pay me a ridiculous amount for it.  Isnt' it cooler to make something sweet and then when someone says "Where did you get that?", you say "I made it!"   I dunno, maybe I'm just a glory hog, or a jerk.  Or both.

I had a really cute White Stripes tshirt that I wore once and it shrank when I washed it, and was too short.  I don't like tummy bearing shirts.  I was driving in the Houston sun and thought about going swimming.  I came up with an idea to make a cool new swimsuit top.

Here is the tshirt before.  I pulled it down right before I took this photo so it wouldn't show my well-endowed tummy.

Here it is after I doctored it up. I don't mind bearing more skin when I'm swimming, so it should be all good.
