...gave me a lot of time to sew! Here are the results:

Two versions of a very cute DIY-style pattern (McCalls M5819), one in lime green sweaternknit and one in a very very VERY cute velour fabric (I think that's what it's called in English), which I I'll probably only wear at home since it makes me look like I'm about ten years old :S

Two versions of the circle top from the book "one piece wearables" in my favourite colours for spring - light green and light purple:

(haha, please ignore the funny face!)

I really love that pattern, because it lives you a lot of room for creative ideas for necklines, hems, embroidery...
On the purple one I did a neckline facing with ricrac, added some decorative stitching to the sleeves and added an elastic empire waist for shaping.

(the colour is actually a lot more purple than on the photo)

The green one has short flutter sleeves and a ricrac-covered boatneck and ricrac on the bottom hem, and gave me the opportunity to try out my new ruffler foot (which I love)

And some lounge pants (because you can never have enough lounge pants) in black velour, from the book "Sew everything workshop" by Diana Rupp

Thank you for looking and comments are always very much appreciated!

20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Sewing instead of studying (Simplicity 4070) on: March 03, 2009 12:06:32 AM
Thank you all! So far my sewing doesn't seem to have affected my performance, and I have only one more exam left (Statistics tomorrow Sad )
And indigo flower girl: I cut the pattern at a size 6, being used to european sizes and habitually always choosing the smallest size and at 1.63 metres and 48 kg it's pretty tight. I am currently (intentionally Cheesy) gaining some weight and I guess that by the end of this summer (or maybe even sooner?) I'll have to choose between wearing this dress or breathing Cheesy but right now I think it's perfect!
