1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Nicky Epstein - Cover Up on: June 16, 2008 04:15:01 PM
Anyone have any reviews of the book? I am considering buying it, it has some beautiful afghans. Anyone ever use it? Thoughts on it?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / In the words of Borat - GREAT SUCCESS! =) on: May 10, 2008 12:37:38 AM
I had this idea to make a checkerboard kind of scarf but having it be double knit. I'm using gray and black (Raider's colors - it's for the DH). So after many trials I finally had the patience to sit and watch videos on YouTube and I got it! =) I'm like 1/10th done of the scarf but it's still the point! =) He's away right now on TDY so he has no clue I'm doing this for it! I'll be sure to post pics of my progress!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dragonfly Square on: May 01, 2008 10:22:59 AM

I made this square yesterday but not sure what I wanna use it for yet. Maybe make squares of the colors I used in the dragonfly to make them surround that dragonfly square.

I started working on a beanie at work last night for my cousin Brianne. She loves the color blue so here was the outcome (finished today)

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / When is too soon to start Christmas presents? on: April 15, 2008 05:59:55 PM
I'm already getting ideas for presents for next Christmas for my family that I'd like to knit. I think I'm going to start this weekend. Is anyone else getting started soon?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / The Lotorp Bag - is it worth buying the book for the pattern? on: April 09, 2008 07:08:41 PM
I saw a picture of the lotorp bag tonight and I fell in LOVE. It's so pretty I want one. But is it really worth buying the book just for the one pattern? OR are there any other bags that any has seen (through Ravelry or what have you) that resemble the lotorp bag (in size and shape - I love the slouchy, big bag look)
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What to do with this yarn? on: April 06, 2008 12:38:08 PM

I bought this yarn off ebay. I got 10 skeins for $20. Now I'm bidding on 9 more skeins of it.

An idea I was considering is knitting it into scarves and making a striped type afghan where I'd use one scarf of this yarn and sew that to a scarf made of a yarn that has the same color as one of the many colors in the yarn.

For example ( I know my description was confusing) the silk yarn stripe, yellow stripe, silk yarn stripe, blue stripe.... so on and so forth.

So I dunno if I want to do that or if someone else has a better idea I'd be up for it. =)

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Awkward look of a hat when decreasing size on: April 03, 2008 02:29:57 AM
I noticed when I'm finishing a hat and I begin decreasing that not so much on the first few rounds but maybe 5 + into the decrease I begin getting this awkward loose hole in the stitches I'm decreasing at. How can I solve this?
