After a long absence from the embroidery scene I've gotten back into the waters with this awesome project! Hand stitched using satin, stem, long and short stitches. I'm very much in love with how she turned out! Thanks for looking!

I think my favorite part of the project was her hair.  Wink

Beautiful! Your filling stiches are so regular. This is something I really struggle with. What kind of thread did you use? It looks like it might be cotton, rather than the 6 ply embroidery floss.

To answer your question: I used just plain old DMC floss.  When I'm doing fill stitches, I use the sharpest, smallest needle I'm comfortable with (quilter sharps usually) and then only 2 strands of floss.  It seems to lay flatter and come out more even that way.  For me anyway. Wink

Just a little project to welcome cooler weather which means fire pits!  When it's 100 degrees even at night here in Las Vegas, you look forward to the fall when you can light a fire and cuddle. Wink  This is an Urban Threads pattern from their year wheel series.

Lots of close ups.  Wink

This one ended up sideways. LOL!

The stitches used for this project were, satin, chain, running, and french knots.
Thanks for looking!
