1  Wee Wonderfuls Dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: January 04, 2008 10:30:11 PM
These two wanna go out to play, but it's just too rainy. Ah, well, maybe a board game will suffice. The girl is going to a 6-month old named Elsa, and the boy is going to my childhood friend at her baby shower. She's doing the bedroom safari style, hence the shirt choice. Thanks for looking!

2  Everyone LOOOOVES sheep! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: December 29, 2007 07:11:59 PM
One of the singers in my class is very religious (Baptist), and loves singing sacred music although her voice is really made for Wagner. Anyway, I made this for her for Christmas. It's a joke on a movement from The Messiah called, "All we, like sheep". The way that Handel wrote it it always winds up sounding like, "All we like sheep" instead. So, here's a very confused sheep tangled in some Christmas lights. She didn't get the joke (she's never sung the Messiah) until we were in music history class one day and our teacher started playing a recording of it, and she yells, "It does sound like that!" Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Haha  Cheesy

3  Owl Mobile... now NOT a sheep! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: December 29, 2007 06:46:12 PM
I made this for a friend who's in love with owls... as am I. I got the idea to embroider them from a picture I saw, but I can't remember where I found it. Anyway, when I was done I didn't want to give it to her, but she LOVED it so I'm glad I did. Thanks for looking!

[Edit: just figured out where I'd seen these cute little owls. I got the idea from the very talented merwing. She has a great book called "Doodle-Stitching" and this web site: http://dreamfollow.com/ ]

(the sheep is here:https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=216749.msg2330485#msg2330485)

4  Tacky-Cat in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: December 25, 2007 12:20:36 AM
This... is Tacky-Cat. He's made out of three tacky music fabrics I came across. I made him for a friend who needs someone to hang out with while he's practicing piano. The idea is that he sits on top of the piano with his little head cocked [so you know he's listening], and you can never feel bad about how you're doing because he's always loving it. He's made from the free "Pointy Cat" pattern by Wee Wonderfuls http://www.weewonderfuls.com/

Made this for a friend of mine who's addicted to sushi. Fish on either side with a lovely piece of sushi in the middle. Yummy.

6  Building Facade of my own design :) in Needlework: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: December 24, 2007 08:18:04 PM
This was a present for one of my roommates. I've never made my own cross-stitch pattern before, and it took a lot of time, but was totally worth it. She really loves it, and so do I.

But... what is it? you may ask. Well, it's the facade of our college. Yeah, school spirit.  Wink

Anywho, here it is, and thanks for looking!

7  Tree Nymphs in Halloween Costumes by Inigo Vane on: October 27, 2007 12:02:17 PM
So, the original idea was for my boyfriend to be a satyr and for me to be a tree nymph. When he saw what I was going to look like he wanted to be a tree nymph too, so here we are. Two tree nymphs in different seasons.

8  Cute Opera Plushies [img heavy] in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Inigo Vane on: August 22, 2007 10:25:21 PM
So, I go to a music conservatory for opera. There are 5 other singers in my class, and I decided to make them plush dolls of themselves as their favorite opera heroines to welcome everyone back for the next year.  I've finished all but one. They were fun to make.but now I dont want to give them away! [I got the body shape from some dolls by Jellibat.]

Brnnhilde from Die Walkre

Mimi from La Bohme complete with candle

Pamina from Die Zauberflte

Carmen from Carmen [of course]

9  Books and Notebooks in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Inigo Vane on: August 15, 2007 04:15:39 PM
I made these quite a while ago, but wanted to post them anyway. The two big ones are ordinary plastic notebooks I dressed up like hardback books to make class less...um..."class-like". The other two are single signature books.

10  Drilling through a stone? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by Inigo Vane on: August 15, 2007 04:01:06 PM
I have a rock that holds sentimental value for me, so I want to make it into a ring. The problem is, I don't know if it's possible to drill a hole through it leangthwise. I've uploaded a bunch of pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10435651@N05/1131343068/in/set-72157601467937823/

If you don't think it's possible to drill a hole, do you have any alternative suggestions? I have very small fingers (6.5).

Thanks!  Grin
