1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: I WANNA SILKSCREEN! on: August 17, 2005 03:31:59 PM

does anyone know of or have any information regarding the aartshirts website screenprinting bible? perhaps maybe an up to date link? i remember i got the link from somewhere in this thread ages ago.

the link i have is http://www.aartshirts.com/intro.html and it definatly is no longer working. i was just hoping that this fantastic site isn't lost for good.

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: bad sewing *cough cough* exposed on: April 27, 2005 07:39:41 AM
i've definatly used a stapler a few times to patch up holes from my home sewing projects. i apparently have not caught on to the whole "reinforce your seam" trend.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / another spray paint fiasco on: April 27, 2005 07:36:52 AM
note to self:

never spray paint outdoors on a windy day.

Lucky me, i was put in charge of decorating the table pieces for my friends wedding. The centerpieces for the tables involved some pine leaves and silver paint among other things, and of course, being the 'crafty' one, the maid of honour handed me the can of spray paint.

so the first few went fairly well, but then all of a sudden the wind picked up and the little cove type area i was standing in in the yard turned into a virtual wind tunnel. one ruined pair of capris and shoes later, i was covered with paint, the can was empty and i had six pieces to go. I'm sure i looked fabulous at the checkout in the hardware store when i went to purchase another can.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / personal preference re interfacing on: April 03, 2005 08:30:41 PM
i think i might have to post this in the clothing section, but seeing as its for a bag i'm making here goes:

which do you prefer? fusable interfacing, or the kind that you just sew into your projects?

i've heard the complaint that fusable interfacing can pucker/discolour, but i'm wondering if this is just something overcome with experience? i've sewn a few projects now, but none have required interfacing yet, and i'd like to make a stiff bag that will hold its shape (similar to the 'jordy' bag but not quite).

thanks for the help

if they're about the size i think they are, i'd pay around 20-25 bucks for one. not more then thirty though.
