well i bought some fabric dye because itwas on sale for like 25 cents.... i was wondering whether it is a good idea to try and dye a light yellow shirt red..... would it turn it orange? or red? i don't want to ruin the shirt :S heres a pic of the dye... mine is red this is just an example so you can see the brand...

and an idea of the colour of the shirt (this is not the shirt)

any help would be greatly appreciated!

23  West 49 Shirt turns tank in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Chel02 on: September 04, 2007 06:24:48 AM
I made this tank top out of a west 49 shirt my brother gave me. i used the sleeve for the straps. I managed to cut around the logos and they didn't end up on my shirt. I am very pleased with this except it has a blue stain on the one strap that isn't very noticeable, but i will bleach the shirt anyways XD

front sideways

25  HELP FOR NEWBIES ON POSTING PICS!!!! in Discussion and Questions by Chel02 on: August 29, 2007 10:00:36 AM
well i really have no clue where to post this stuff, so i'll say it here....

i keep reading posts that have links to the pictures. after the links the people say that they can only post links because they are newbie. i only started on here a month ago but i posted my first project which had pics and i got them to post fine, well except the white space which i didn't realize i did because of stupid place i pasted my pics before saving them.

to get your pics to post properly use photobucket. thats what i did, then i clicked the image thing in posting and i went to photobucket, went to the image, copied the direct link and put it between the little image things on here, and posted it worked fine except the white space which was my fault.... heres an example doing what i said, it should work fine Smiley

see apart from the empty white space which i did because i pasted the pic in microsoft word before uploading to photobucket, it worked fine. Smiley now i hope if you are newbie and have read this it will help and maybe your pics will post Smiley. it may work with other photo hosting sites but i don't know. it depends if they have something that says direct link... try it out, maybe it will work and you won't have to post links

26  tee shirt pleated skirts :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Chel02 on: August 24, 2007 01:45:34 PM
well after fonally getting my camera fixed i decided to post a project i was working on. i sat around a few days ago and found this stripey material that had once been the making of some pillow cases. i turned it into this...

the top of the skirt is not yet hemmed because i ran out of white thread.

this is a matching shrug, that hasn't been hemmed at the bottom, and the front. i still didn't have any white thread.

this is a green and black skirt i made as well. the green is actually really bright but you can't tell in the pic.

hope you all liked them Smiley. sorry for the crappy pics of the skirts, cause they aren't ironed yet XD. very very sorry about the empty white space. i'm still working out the bugs, as this is my first real post like with pics Smiley
