1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tute for eyelets/grommets? on: January 18, 2008 09:23:17 PM
I have one I bought at Walmart some time ago, the one hand press kind. Is the eyelet punch & hammer method better than the hand held press thingy? I don't even know if I'm making any sense, just wondering which method has a more professional finish look.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Maternity Clothes on: January 16, 2008 02:42:15 AM
I'm not sure if some one has mentioned it, but there is the old-school way of adjusting a top to a maternity top, and then you can put it back. Just add panels in a long triangular shape along the side seams of the top and across the lower front. You can even add cords (I guess thats what they'd be called) so you can tie around the back for more body. The panels gives room for baby to grow and the lower one to cover up the growing belly, just use matching or coordinating fabrics, after the pregnancy if you still want to keep your tops, just remove the extra panels and you have your old blouse back.
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Vintage Suitcases-What should I do?!?! on: January 15, 2008 06:29:46 PM
I once saw in one of those DIY shows, I think it might have been Junk Brothers, they way they salvaged some old suitcase. They stack two of them, lengthwise, attached store bought legs, and redid the inside for jewelry storage, looked just beautiful!. I'll see if I can find any pics online, this was a while back.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Personalized zipper pull on: January 15, 2008 06:16:15 PM
This is my only ID that I looked decent Smiley  You should see my current one, Its so emberrasing to show my ID anywhere. In the pic it looks like I'm drunk with my eyes half open and my shirt says "I Do All My Own Stunts". I just happened to be wearing that shirt, that girl lowered the camera so that you could fully read what it said and I had this funky look to my face. So I asked her to take it over, I am so sure she did it on purpose too, cause the second photo is so low too and I bet you she'd probably wait till I blinked or something.
