2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Two bags to fit my whole life into (image heavy) on: November 17, 2008 12:52:54 PM
Haven't posted in a great while!
I've been trying out more complex bags and here are two I've made for hauling all my school things:

The first one:

It's really quite big, I can fit 4 quite thick A4 folders into it + everything else I need.

the corners

the insides

it also has an over-body strap

The second one:

it's even bigger than the first Cheesy

(this was x-posted to craftgrrl)

I was pretty bored in August, so I thought I'd make a bag for myself

It measures about 13x21 inches, so I can fit my whole life in there and still have room for other stuff Cheesy It's made of umm.. microfibre, I guess.

The back with a zippered pocket

Flap closure

The top has a zipper under the flap.

The insides are shiny yellow!

I also added a secret pocket in the side of the purse for my mp3 player!

I liked the first bag very much, but the colour is pretty bold, so I made another version with minor alterations in light grey.

This one has a pocket in the front and there's no little flappy thing attached to the big flap.

Top zipper.

The insides- toile lining and a little pocket for my mirror.

There's also this little carabiner thing inside, to which I can attach whatever thing I don't want to go missing in the huge bag.

Yet again, the secret pocket.

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Snitch bag on: January 13, 2006 04:06:23 AM
I already posted this on Craftgrrl, but I decided to post it here too!
I thought I needed a bag for the new school semester (I think I need a new bag too often  Grin) so I came up with this. It was inspired by a bag I saw on Delia's website, but I altered it a bit.
So here it is!

It's pretty big, because I need to fit my a4 size notebooks and books in it. I have never poked myself so many times with pins as during the making of this bag  Angry

A close-up of the snitch. All hand embroidered.. and as a result my fingers hurt like hell.

one side pocket

the back zippered pocket.

the insides of the bag. The lining fabric is really great, with Gryffindor-like lions on it, but unfortunately you can't see them on this picture  Undecided

I'll try to work on a tutorial this weekend as some people have requested one alreadyl, but I can't promise I'll definitely do it this weekend.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My Day of the Dead bag on: November 07, 2005 07:38:46 AM
This is most definitely the most advanced bag I've ever made:

Although many people who've seen it, think that it's made of suede, it is actually made of awesome furniture fabric  Wink.
There's a pocket on the front, a big zippered pocket at the back, and two small pockets inside for my wallet and calculator.

here's a picture to show the size. I have to carry a lot of stuff around at school so it's quite big.

Close-up of the emroidered front pocket. Shiny rhinestone eyes!

the lining (and also the contents of my bag Tongue)

a charm or whatever it may be called.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A bunny bag, a hobo bag and an mp3 player cozy on: July 27, 2005 11:35:51 AM
First off- a bunny bag.

Drafted my own pattern, but I got the inspiration from some bag I saw a long time ago on the internet.

the inside. It has two pockets for my wallet and mp3 player on the inside and a zipper pocket on the back.

the hobo bag. I used the wonerful tutorial by Tinafish.

the inside. I had to use two different fabrics, because I didn't have enough of either  Embarrassed.

the cozy. I created my own pattern and kind of messed it up. I didn't really want to do the edge of the flap with zig-zag stitch. I guess next time I'll think of a better pattern. It closes with a button and elastic.

a hole for the earplug cord

under the flap! I put some soft stuff between the outer and lining fabric so when I accidentally drop it, it won't break.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New purses and I'd like some advice on: March 31, 2005 11:58:51 AM
So here they are, but I'd also like to ask you people some advice: How much would you be willing to pay for each bag? I'm going to try to sell them tomorrow and I'm going to need to have prices for them and I'd like to have your input. thanks in advance.

dark blue corduroy bag

there's also a kanzashi pin on the bag. It's removable so it can be worn on other stuff too.

the lining and also a pocket with a banana in it to show the size. I didn't want to make a boring pocket from the lining fabric so I used a doily instead. It closes with velcro, as does the bag itself.

pleatead A-line jordy bag. That's an orange doily on it, that I bought from a thrift store. The lining is dotty yellow and orange and brown.

stripy corduroy bag, my own design.

Button closure

A-line jordy with a lot of different ribbons sewn on.

the lining. There's pocket for pens and stuffs.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My bags! (warning: quite a lot of pictures) (I hope they work now) on: March 09, 2005 04:29:43 AM
So here are some of the bags I've made:

A bag with pockets on the front and oooh spiderman lining Smiley there's also a zippered pocket on the inside.corduroy.
Plus a CD case for size comparison.

Corduroy bag with big flower

but a-ha! the flower thingie is also a pocket on the front!

and the inside, nice dotted fabric I got from a thrift store and also a zippered pocket.

a bag with ... leaves, I guess?(you can still see the chalk lines I drew there  Grin)they're sewed on with orange, yellow and red thread. and also there's a velcro closure.fabric- black corduroy

This was for a friend.something similar as the last one, but here, there's just some squares. also sewed on with blue, white and red thread. The fabric is grey corduroy (as you can see im quite the fan of corduroy bags).

a cute bag with flap and button closures.

pink bag with flap, snap closure.

and last but not least, here's a crochet bag I made about 2 years ago. It's rather big and I thought of sewing some kind of lining in it, so that it won't lose shape, but I still haven't got round to doing it.

I'll be posting other bags soon

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Moving into a new apartment on: July 29, 2004 08:48:26 AM
Our family is moving into a new apartment in two or three weeks and I can decorate my own room.
I have to paint the room and I was hoping maybe you crafty people had some cool ideas.
I even thought of having a theme for my room and right now the only theme i've come up with was this fairy-like thing.
So you're all welcome to share your ideas on painting and decorating the room
