Very well thought out!  You Rock!  I love the rings and clear plastic pockets above them for the code.  All the details are so cool.

Hope your mom loves it forever!
12  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Slaying a Dragon on: February 10, 2011 11:52:15 PM
Stellou, that is a good pic.  But I'm going for scary fierce.  Have a grandson so he might get the fat dragon.

kuraikatara, Antidigger and Alexus1325, Thanks, thats what I'm looking for.  Those D&D creatures are great.  I've been all over the draconian site.  Now i have sketched all kinds of body parts.  Might make some cool ceiling art hanging dragon bits and pieces.   Grin

andralynn and marshmallowgirl, thank you!!  I'm way out of my comfort zone.

Thank you all for your wisdom and help!  Folks like you are why I love Crackster.
13  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Slaying a Dragon on: January 30, 2011 11:52:27 AM
I want to paint a dragon for my son's birthday in July.  First step is trying to get dragon sketching skills down and not have my monster look comical.
I want a ferocious beast, not a fatty that looks like he ate a village, and couldn't fly away.  So lets hope I can tame my pencil.

This one looks more like a dinosaur.

I plan on using acrylic for the painting.  Any tips for drawing a rocking man-eating beast?

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Steampunk Christmas Ornament Swap (Send outs 12/8) on: December 15, 2010 10:25:48 AM
The last of my ornaments from ceemonster and Ashgrim. Sigh.  If there was ever a swap I wanted to be in year-round, this would be it.
From Ashgrim a wonderful ornament complete with gears and buttons and snowflakes.  And I love that big key at the bottom and the the way you wrapped it in wire. Thank you!

And Ceemonster sent an airship that commands the sky.  I'm proud to have her majesty's ship on my tree. Love the teal-metallic color.   Its beautiful, and thank you.

Thank you to Alchamy513 for a great swap!  You're a fabulous organizer!

I received from Eukarya, Bookstorebabe and Pogo in the past few days, but knew I wouldn't have a chance to take pics and post until today, so I waited and opened all three this morning!  All so beautiful!

From Eukarya - a delicate handpainted egg ornament with a reindeer and Christmas trees.  I love it, Thank you so much.

From Bookstorebabe - Thank you for a wonderfully creative ornament, like a small windchime.  I've already tapped the back of a small kid paw to keep her away from it.  Very cool!

From Pogo - A beautiful star in dark blue metallic clay, complete with gears.  It is so lovely, thank you.

What a great Saturday morning!  We should really do steampunk ornament swaps throughout the year.  LOL
