11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / New Band Swap on: May 14, 2006 07:07:50 AM
i think there was one of these on here a whileee ago, last year ish?

but, your partner says what kind of music they're into .. you find a band (less known is better!) and burn them a CD, make a t-shirt or bag or soemthing.

i don't know about you, but i LOVE music and learning about new bands!

anyone interested? i probably couldn't even do this till mid-june.
12  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / LOOOKIT! first stencilled shirt. piano keys. =] on: March 25, 2006 12:25:23 PM
i felt the need to share.
i made this today.

i just took a t-shirt and made a stencil of piano keys.

it was my second stencil ever and my first time stencilling on fabric.

the stencil took me like 20 minutes to cut and then i jsut taped it and the shirt and sponge painted white paint on

it bled a little bit but it just looks kinda vintage-y. i loveeee it.

the pics are huge so here's links.

13  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / my click five and ryan cabrera shirt =). booyakasha. on: November 02, 2005 12:15:41 PM
soo i'm going to a click five/ryan cabrera concert on friday. eeeeeee i'm excited! so my friend and i made shirts to wear.  Grin it took about two hours ish? we ironed on the pictures and used puff paint for the letters. on the right shoulder it has my user name on the click five boards (www.theclick5.com) so people from the boards can recognize me at the show  Smiley and the date (11/04/05) on the left sleeve. and it says booyakasha. unless you're from the boards you probably wouldn't get it, it's a crazy saying from the drummer (Joey), but i think it might be from a movie. anyhowww.

the shirt.

the shoulder.

the sleeve. (yes, those are 1's ...)

it's glittery!!

the click five sings "Just the Girl" and the new single "Catch Your Wave" which is premiering on TRL on monday  Smiley. go buy their CD. it's called Greetings From Imrie House. and it's AMAZING.

15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / what do you get when you cross a very bored Lisa and lots and lots of fabric? on: September 01, 2005 04:07:07 PM
kay. so i was reallyyyy bored today, so i made a skirt! it only took me like 10 minutes woo. so i took this swimsuit cover up skirt i had, and used that as a pattern. i would take a pic of it but i'm too lazy!! lol. but hereeeee it is. oh and sorry for the wrinkles, i haven't ironed it yet!

front again. the hem isn't angled like that though.

it's not hemmed and i'm not sure if i'll hem the top of the waistband or not. should i hem it? also, it's kinda plain, so i was thinking of adding some embroidery or tulle.

comments/criticism/ideas pleaseeee!

EDIT: i don't know why the pictures are so blurry .. sorry!
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / so you're all very crafty -- i need to fix a rip in a dress!! on: August 09, 2005 04:20:03 PM
so i saw the most amzing dress ever at macy's today. 10 bucks. i went to try it on and realized there are a few rips in it, which is why its 10 bucks. on the breastpiece (its a halter) it looked like they sewed too close to the edge so the overlay fabric just popped out. i'm thinking that's easy to fix, though.

the other rip was on the skirt part, on the back. it was maybe 6 inches long, but really really skinny. it looked like a teeny little run .. it's in a net overlay material. the run isn't really noticeable, except that its got a yellowish fuzzy stuff around it .. i'm thinking i can cut off the yellow stuff carefully, and maybe that'd fix it? is there any way i can fix a run?

pleaseeeee help because this dress would be soo perfect for homecoming and it's so cheap!!

i goy some white gauzy fabric from the wal-mart remnant bin for two bucks. two yards and 6 inches orsomething. i used almost asll of it  Cheesy. its just a tiered skirt, with three tiers. the first has two layers so you can't see my fancy pants undies. i still need to hem it.

my photobucket seems to have lost the picture of the front .. ?

i need to take it in a little on the side. but thats okay. it's wickeddd comfy. yay!
