1  double rainbow after rain in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by flootloop on: January 29, 2009 10:59:53 AM
I'm by no means a professional photographer, and just used a digital camera, nothing fancy, but I thought this was a pretty picture. It is a double rainbow after the monsoon in Arizona. It was taken in November from my backyard.

2  Re: 2009 Holiday Handmade Crusade :: Formerly the "All Year Christmas Craft-a-long" in Craftalongs by flootloop on: January 29, 2009 09:30:12 AM
Even though I made these like two weeks ago, I just got around to posting them now. They are salt dough ornaments that I dyed with food coloring. I also tried to microwave them instead of bake them to speed up the process. That's why some are burnt, they were my first batch. I then painted them with gold and silver glitter glue to give them sparkle.

My friend, and roommate-to-behad her birthday a few days ago. Last year, her dorm room walls were pretty empty so I decided to make her something to decorate them with. I used cardboard, acrylic paints and random stickers and such. Her name is Linyu.

4  my first skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by flootloop on: August 19, 2008 06:47:27 PM
So the lovely Penguino sent me some wonderfully soft, pink fabric and I knew it was just dying to be made into a skirt. This is the first article of clothing I have made without the help of my mom. I hand stitched the whole thing, including the heart applique. SOrry the picture sucks, my brother messed around with my camera settings Roll Eyes

6  Re: Favorite Colour Swap R2 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by flootloop on: August 06, 2008 09:26:49 AM
I was in the round robin, and the person I sent to, Stacysaurus, got her package 4 days ago. She hasn't posted or PM'ed me saying she did, but I just checked using the DC number. Anyway, I was so excited to ship my package off that I forgot to take pictures of the things I sent Sad Sad Sad

I did take a picture of the first thing I finished, which was a pillow. Her color combo was black and white and she wanted home decor items. Here is the pillow I made:

The other things I sent were:
A large embroidered wall hanging with elephants and other designs
A hand painted jar
Two Perler bead magnets
A sachet

7  Melting crayons! in Completed Projects by flootloop on: July 31, 2008 03:08:36 PM
So I have a bunch of broken crayons that aren't of much use to me and I finally decided to try melting them to form a new one! Since I live in the desert that is Arizona, I didn't have to use an oven. Rather, I just put the broken bits into a paper cup and left it out in the 115 degree weather for less than 2 hours. Here is the result:

I think I'll make a bunch more of these in different colors for my cousin!

woohoo!! Yesterday was a great day for me because I was out with my friends all day and then when I got home my brother brought a HUGE box to me. My Swap package arrived!!! I didn't take a pic of the box but I can assure you, it was huge! Hipmama spoiled me, and did such a WONDERFUL job in making things I would love. Now, on with the pictures!! Be prepared to be jealous of my purpleicious loot!!

group shot! I got a pretty purple board with such fun shiny tacks, a beautiful purple necklace which is totally my taste (simple but gorgeous!!), an amazing knit washcloth that feels so soft and I can't wait to use, yummy smelling purple soap, a painted box with the letter M on it for my name (i've already put it to use!) and not photographed is a postcard from where she lives Smiley

Thank you SO MUCH hipmama1970, I absolutely LOVE everything and you did an awesome job!!!

10  Transformer's PJ's for my brother in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by flootloop on: June 02, 2008 07:31:32 PM
My mom actually made the shorts, no pattern she just traced a pair of his shorts onto newspaper and went from there. Then I thought it wouldn't be complete without a matching tshirt so I used one of my old ones and attached a circle cutout of the same fabric. They're not perfect but he likes them. I couldn't get an action shot of him with them on because he wasn't in the mood to have his picture taken... Roll Eyes
