Thanks for your advice!  I'm going to give that a shot.

Nice job on the skirt. Smiley

All my skirts are too high in the back as well!  Could any of you lovely ladies explain your wacky hemming techniques to me?  I've wondered how to fix that for some time.

I love it!  And that first picture is very inspiring for me. Smiley  Great style.

Thanks you two! Smiley

@BonEsInspired: I will be posting everything as a make it.  I have a few really good ideas that need to become reality.  What festivals are you planning to attend?

Omg that is CUTE!!  It looks great with your hair. Smiley  Are you planning to use that skull design on any other articles of clothing?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pocket Belt!! <3 on: March 15, 2010 07:55:23 PM
I'm planning to attend a lot of summer festivals this year and in preparation I've started sewing costume-y things!

The first installment is this pocket belt, inspired by Alienskin: http://www.alienskin.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=24_31&products_id=3054

What do you think? Smiley

ETA: This is what I''m planning to wear with it. It's surprisingly difficult to take pictures of ones lower body!

You are amazing, woman.  How exactly did you draft that pattern?  I went through a phase when I was 15 of making pants and they never quite worked out.  How did you get the right fit?

I second the vegan cupcake suggestion.  My very favorite vegan sweets book is Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World.  http://www.amazon.com/Vegan-Cupcakes-Take-Over-World/dp/1569242739  I'm sure you could just Google the name and find many of the recipes that way.

Let me also point you to these vegan baking tips: http://www.theppk.com/veganbaking.html.

Good luck!  Let us know how it goes!

10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: Skulls'n'Crosses on: August 13, 2005 10:07:53 PM
Thank you all!  I did not design the skull (it's based on a tattoo I saw).

The reason the definition is so bad is that I'm useing the screen filler method as opposed to emulsion.  AND that skull was the first screen I've ever made.

Thanks again for the compliments.
