21  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R10 FOCR R10 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by guacaMolly on: November 03, 2011 07:35:38 PM
Finally posting pics, sorry it took me longer than I thought!

So when I came home earlier this week I had this super awesome Hello Kitty covered package!

....and found out that I am the excited new winner of Aisy's makeup kit!

She even covered the bottom of the altered tin in Hello Kitty! Love!

In my excitement I totally forgot to take a picture of the contents. A tinted lip balm and three eye shadows. I did, however, snap a shot of the tinted lip balm on.

and after!

Amazing, right?!?  Tongue

I really really love the lip balm, it's hard for me to find shades that look good, and it's a nice coppery shade that is perfect. It's soft and moisturizing and even smells like mint and tingles! Thank you so much Aisy!

I love the makeup kit and the map pendant idea! Fictional place like Oz or Middle Earth would be super cool too....

aisy, I'd love to do a personal swap! Shipping funds are a little low right now, so maybe in the future sometime.

onyxnox, per your request (and for everyone else, too).....

It's hard to get a good photo of these, but the glaze is brown that breaks to blue in the imprints

I had forgotten to mention that the backs of the buttons and the acorn tray are not glazed, they are just the natural stoneware color with a canvas imprint.

If anyone has any questions about these feel free to pm me! Smiley

As for me, I can't WAIT for the drawing! There is so much greatness in this singular little thread, just about everything posted has become my new 'favorite'.

Oh, the suspense!  Cheesy

Officially got my signup in and what I will be sending altogether!

Acorn trinket tray/spoon rest/tea bag holder and several glazed stoneware clay buttons, mostly in pairs, two birds.

I'm so excited, what a fun swap!

Wow guys! So much awesome stuff.

I love the pretty tree tote, happy tree hoop, beaded necklace and fingerless mitts-- such a pretty color, coiled bowl, purple scarf

I adore the contemplative dragon stuffie -- I usually don't care for stuffies, but she is adorable and I love her story, and the thought of her needing to be an 'angry dragon' at times is priceless!  Cheesy

Those are just some of my faves and I'm sure I'm leaving some out, the fun thing is that even the things that aren't 'me' persay I can think of someone they would be perfect as a gift for -- win win!  Smiley Oh, and I wanted to say that even though I don't have a tart melter, I do really love candles!

I'm thinking about joining, I see that there are a few people offering soap, I'm trying to decide whether I'll do soap or something in glazed stoneware clay. I just finished a bunch of buttons (mostly 1" round) and some (small) acorn and tea pot spoon rests/trinket dishes. I also might do a combination---like 2 soaps a few sets of buttons and a spoon rest/trinket tray. Any thoughts or opinions?

25  Owly Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by guacaMolly on: August 31, 2011 08:28:15 AM
Even though I like sewing a lot, I hardly ever post any projects here! This was my first time sewing from a pattern--- something I was previously terrified of, but now I'm wondering why?? It was so easy! I used Simplicity 2626, it was apron C (pictured in the upper left if you're looking at the pattern cover). I didn't use the shoulder ruffle (just hemmed the outer edge), and skipped the pockets altogether per my mom's request.

She just started a store called Owl Make It, so obviously her theme is owls! She's at our local Farmer's Market selling her soap.

Fun, right?? So if anyone likes sewing but is scared of patterns, start with an apron! I made my own double fold bias binding with the little bias tape maker from Clover--- I have the 1" and the 2" and I love them.

I am finally posting pics of the amazing yoga mat bag that DesignVigilante crocheted for me--- which is mind boggling to me, considering I can't finish a crocheted scarf much less follow a pattern and make something like this!

(Please ignore the craptastic carpet and avocado green cabinets.....we're remodeling an ancient house)

The strap is detachable, and can be used as a yoga strap as well! Which is great, because I've needed one. This bag makes storing my mat so much easier, and now I can sign up for a class in the future and have a handy dandy way to take it with me!

DesignVigilante also got me two etsy patterns I've been wanting, I can't thank you enough for an amazing package DV!  Grin

Awesome stuff everyone, wow! Especially love the apron by quaggy and the daffodil set by Dawl--- you guys are insanely awesome, I have no idea how you get so much done!

I received a great package myself a few days ago from missmoppet, she claimed me for an owl-themed hoop for my mom's shop and a surprize for my craft room.

Cheesy She made me a chartreuse water lily, in honor of The Chartreuse Lily and my love of water lilies! I love both of these, the work is fabulous. My mom has hers already, and she was in love with it as well! Couldn't have been more perfect, thank you so much!

Moved from the 69 swap gallery..... whoops! Embarrassed

I received my own package of awesomeness from fishstix on Tuesday, right before we left for St. Louis, which was a huge pick me up!

Leather pieces in all shades of browns and cream, organza bags, magnetic snaps in three colors (I got really excited and opened the silver ones right away  Cheesy) and a whole slew of buttons! Thank you soooo much fishstix!  Grin

So sorry I am late of posting pics of TerraCruz's fantasticly cute package!

She made me this *adorable* letter needle book, and a bunch of neato buttons!

I couldn't get this pic to crop so please excuse my crummy ironing board shot.... but wanted to show the shape of the needlebook, and how she stitched lines and put a little kitty stamp on to make it really look like an envelope!

Thank you so much Terra, I love it--- sometimes I just carry it around and open and close it. It is the epitome of cuteness, lol

I am so sorry I am late in posting pics of my awesome package from puzzler! She claimed me for handcrafted cards and hangtags, and boy did she deliver!

The whole thing, lots of different hangtags, note cards, cards and tags of all kinds--- and gum, yay! Ever since I quit smoking a few years ago, I love gum and chew it constantly.

Better picture of some of the hangtags, love them!

Closeup of the cards, it looks like she used a lot of handcarved stamps, which I love.

Thank you so much, puzzler!  Smiley
