1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / What ninja turtles wear on their day off... on: December 23, 2008 09:35:47 PM
For Christmas, I decided to make my sister a hoodie based on her ultimate obsession at the moment, the teenage mutant ninja turtles.  I wanted it to be completely unique, so here it is!

She can also wear it without the eye mask if the hoodie is off... She totally loved it and has already worn it in public and gotten some interesting looks :-)

Hopefully it is half as cool as the Juno stuff she made me for my birthday (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277933.0), and the shoes she made me for Christmas (https://www.craftster.org/forum).../index.php?topic=284055.0)
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Kings of Leon and National Vans on: December 23, 2008 09:31:44 PM
So my sister and I have exchanged our Christmas gifts...
You may remember her from the birthday gift she made me... (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277933.0)

Now she has made me some Vans decorated with my two favorite bands!!! Check them out!!!

I have made her a pretty cool hoodie in return... (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=284056.0)

So I pretty much have the coolest sister ever... Check out the amazing Juno loot she made me for my birthday!

She handpainted this tote bag!

Details of sharpied Juno and Paulie...

"She uses color safe bleach... Go Carol!"

Blue slurpee and "Woah! Dream big!"

"Cautionary whale" and "Honest to blog?" duct tape wallet...

Juno polymer clay keychain...

Shrinky dink jewelry! "Hold on, I'm on my hamburger phone." and "This is one doodle that can't be undid."

She is my favorite :-)
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Robots attack hoodie! on: October 06, 2008 06:35:07 AM
I made this hoodie for sophiethepeoplebiter in the Amazing Hoodie Swap round 8.  She has recieved and loved it, so I thought I'd post it here.  I'm really proud of it because I've never done appliques or embroidery before! :-)

The robot coming out of the pocket in the front...

The back...

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Donnie Darko Vans (NOTORIOUS! NOTORIOUS!) on: July 29, 2008 08:11:36 PM
So my sister is a super talented artist and for her birthday, she got some plain white Vans... Let's just say she added her own *sparkle motion* to them...

Donnie Darko on the left and Frank the Bunny on the right...

Closeup of Donnie... In the background is "Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?"

Closeup of Frank... In the background is "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

Lyrics to "Mad World" by Gary Jules that plays at the end of the movie... (Fear and Love line is on the opposite side of the shoe...)

28:06:42:12 That is when the world will end...

She made them with sharpies and sealed with some random sealer...

Yeah... we love Donnie Darko...

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Mario Madness Plastic Canvas! on: June 30, 2008 09:34:59 AM
Here is a tissue holder that I made for Mojen for the IYP swap and she has recieved... It was inspired by a question mark tissue box cover that was in her wists, I think off of the Make or Craft magazine website...

Here is a Nintendo DS Lite case I made for a friend for Christmas, obviously based on the original which has become a Craftster icon...

Thanks for looking!

Update: Tissue box pattern now available in my Etsy shop here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/60542119/pattern-needlepoint-plastic-canvas-super

A Handcycling jacket for my friend who just completed his first hand cycling marathon... I made the stencil and was excited at how well it turned out from the crappy picture of his bike!

A Killer's cropped jacket for my sister...

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Sports Tee Quilt on: November 12, 2007 11:49:59 AM
Inspired by other posts I've seen on Craftster in regards to t-shirt quilts, I decided to make my boyfriend a sports quilt out of old t-shirts.  I found shirts at various salvation armies in the area with all of his favorite teams.  I also included our flag football team t-shirt and the shirt from the marathon he ran.  He loved it :-).

Please let me know what you think! :-)
