11  Re: IYP 9: Midsummer Masquerade Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by ConfusableBlonde on: July 10, 2008 07:20:55 PM
OK first off, I definitely love the purple elephant dish scrubber thingie... so cute!!

Second, I recieved from Mojen today and got the most amazing swap gift EVER!! It's some UK candy and a hat that is too cute from my wists and you are all going to be jealous... Without further delay:

Modelled by the base of my Magic Bullet blender...

And action shots! Tilted to the left...

Straight ahead...

I love it both ways and it fits perfectly and it's the perfect color and it's light enough to wear even on a cool summer night so I am SO EXCITED!

Thanks to the organizers and especially THANK YOU MOJEN!!! I LOVE IT!!!

12  Mario Madness Plastic Canvas! in Needlework: Completed Projects by ConfusableBlonde on: June 30, 2008 09:34:59 AM
Here is a tissue holder that I made for Mojen for the IYP swap and she has recieved... It was inspired by a question mark tissue box cover that was in her wists, I think off of the Make or Craft magazine website...

Here is a Nintendo DS Lite case I made for a friend for Christmas, obviously based on the original which has become a Craftster icon...

Thanks for looking!

Update: Tissue box pattern now available in my Etsy shop here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/60542119/pattern-needlepoint-plastic-canvas-super

I recieved my AWESOME embroidery kit from indigo_roses today... Here are the goods!

A scrapbook with instructions, stitch tutorials, and helpful hints...

All the materials I could ever need to actually embroider...

rings, thread, needles, scissors, etc.

She even sent along some things to embroider on...

tote bag, tea towels, and iron on embroidery transfers (which are the coolest designs, totally my style so i'm really excited!)

Thanks so much indigo_roses for making my first swap a great one!

Here is my take on the lighted glass gift packages...

They were SO easy to make, and I have some ideas on how to do them differently next year...

16  Killers, Cake, BMX, and Handcycling (1st Stencils...) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ConfusableBlonde on: December 30, 2007 07:47:24 AM
So I just learned how to stencil thanks to all the tutorials on here and stencilry, and I went a little crazy with Christmas gifts this year...

A Handcycling jacket for my friend who just completed his first hand cycling marathon... I made the stencil and was excited at how well it turned out from the crappy picture of his bike!

A Killer's cropped jacket for my sister...

A Cake t-shirt also for my sister...

A BMX t-shirt for my little brother...

Thanks for looking!

19  Sports Tee Quilt in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ConfusableBlonde on: November 12, 2007 11:49:59 AM
Inspired by other posts I've seen on Craftster in regards to t-shirt quilts, I decided to make my boyfriend a sports quilt out of old t-shirts.  I found shirts at various salvation armies in the area with all of his favorite teams.  I also included our flag football team t-shirt and the shirt from the marathon he ran.  He loved it :-).

Please let me know what you think! :-)
