2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / vintage nudie playing cards **CAUTION: NUDITY** on: October 16, 2007 06:33:23 PM
so my partner gave me these vintage nudie playing cards that were his dad's in the 70's or 80's. i really like them and want to do something with them that is as cool and silly as they are while also keeping them somewhat preserved. i would really appreciate some ideas. also, somebody is selling these on etsy, and i borrowed her photos because i didnt have pictures of mine and i couldnt wait to get some ideas from you craftsters! i will give her some credit for her photos and if you want to buy some for yourself her store is: cOveTableCuriOsitIEs.etsy.com

3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Jenga Blocks?? on: October 15, 2007 03:00:44 PM
create a new game out of it. use different colored sharpies to write on the sides of the jenga blocks. i did this and gave it to a friend as a gift. i made a "truth, truth, truth, or truth" game out of it. i wrote all truth or dare type questions on the sides of the blocks like "what is the last song you want to hear before you die?" and also i made a sexy version with questions like "what sexual experience have you always wanted to try?"  it is a really fun thing to do at get togethers. it takes jenga and truth or dare to a whole new level.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Band t-shirt Aprons on: October 07, 2007 06:50:01 PM
i never use patterns when i sew. i taught myself and so i just improv everything. if you have an old apron laying around you might be able to use it as a kind of template. trial and error always works best for me though.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Band t-shirt Aprons on: October 07, 2007 06:30:20 PM
there are boys in my life who love to cook and bake. i thought they needed proper aprons. i took a couple of their tattered, almost-ready-to-die t-shirts and here is what happened:

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire Rings on: October 07, 2007 04:57:12 PM
At an auction I bought a box of assorted color, coated wire and made rings out of them. Also, because they are made out of wire, they are adjustable but without that annoying pinching quality of normal cheapo adjustable rings. They are kind of large, so I prefer to wear it on my middle finger.

I am kinda nervous because this is my first post of my own work. I have been crafting for years and lurking on craftster for a long time now. I would really really love some feedback.

8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old Children's Books / Hardcover Books on: October 07, 2007 04:55:38 PM
you could just keep everything in tack and collage other clippings and photos and stuff over parts of the pages and make a collage book. good activity for kids.
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old CDs / AOL CDs / AOL CD Cases on: October 07, 2007 04:51:51 PM

10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Men's Ties / Neckties on: October 07, 2007 04:29:36 PM
i love to make wallets out of them because the point at the end of a tie makes a really good flap. just make an envelope type shape and sew a clasp onto the flap and there you have a wallet.
