22  Baby Bloomer/ Diaper Cover in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by NameThatCandy on: May 20, 2010 11:54:40 AM
I am new to sewing garment, it is my 1st project.  I used McCall's M6058.  It is reversible bloomer, I used PUL for reversible side, so it will be waterproof.  I don't like the typical diaper cover, I think bloomer looks cute and my son can just wear prefold and this in summer.

The instruction of the pattern is confusing and not detail enough, but it could be my problem, coz I don't have experience on sewing garment.  I had a hard time to make it reversible, end up I did my own way.

Not too happy with the result, but the next one will look better, since I learn my lesson!!

23  Organic Cotton Baby Hat with Rose in Crochet: Completed Projects by NameThatCandy on: May 02, 2010 08:33:49 PM
here is my newest project, I really like it.  Esp the rose, first time to make it.  But I think if I use fingering yarn, it will look better.

I just finished this cute Japanese Bag.  The pattern is super easy.  I did some modification, made the bag bigger and the handle longer.

We have a CAL for this bag, the Free pattern is in it.

here is the link for CAL:

I decided not to do the lining, it is too difficult, if you want to do lining, better do it before crochet the handles.  And I bought a magnetic snaps online, I will post more pics after I finished.

Just sew the handle temporary, and I think 5 rows for the handle looks great.

I will sew a button, so the stuff in the bag won't fall off.   I am not going to have flowers on the purse, i think it will be too much.  (have button & flowers)

Just finished this cardigan 2 days ago, I saw a lot of ppl on different crochet forums making this cardigan.  I always wanted to make one.  I am a little bit disappointed how it fits.

I used Patons Silk Bamboo Yarns, love it, very soft!!
