Oh man is she ever cute in that!  I love the hat with the eyes.  I suggest she wear that year round... just to let people know she's always watching...

Sweeet.  I'm making these for my Dr. Who-fan buddy right now and I like your interpretation of them.  Playing fast and loose with patterns is one of the funnest things about being a knitter Smiley

My (newly) 3 year old son is very into hockey, and so when I asked him what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday, the answer was obvious.  Add an overacheiving mummy, some marshamllow fondant, and a few hockey players from the old hockey table game I had as a kid, and voila!  Hockey cake.

and before the addition of the players:

Comments are always appreciated Smiley and happy baking to you all!

Looks super cute!  I love the outfit for your daughter, not enough skirts with bob-ombs on them these days...
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dr. Seuss's baby would wear this sweater on: September 03, 2011 10:59:21 AM
I have NEVER completed a baby sweater with so much time to spare before the kid's birth.  Just sewed the buttons on this beauty today and the baby is due in November!  We're all shocked, believe me.

This is a Debbie Bliss pattern called 'Classic Cardigan' from Essential Baby.  I love this pattern, I use it all the time and it's so easy to personalize (say, by using Bernat Satin baby yarn combined with bizarre washable orange mohair yarn that your stepmom's mother donated to you.

By the way, the baby will be a girl, though I started this before we knew the gender and thought the colour combo would be wicked for either a boy or girl.  I still feel that that is true Smiley

I do not have a baby anymore to model this for me, so I went with one of my toddler's animals.  Use your imagination Smiley

Comments or questions always appreciated, thanks for looking, and happy knitting Smiley
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cabled Yoke Pullover & Lace Stole! on: August 26, 2011 07:18:18 PM
Two beautiful projects.  The pullover suits you perfectly and the stole looks technically perfect and utterly elegant.  Well done you Smiley

Thanks guys Smiley  And to keep the shirt from bunching up while I painted I just bull-clipped it round a stiff placemat that I had slipped inside the shirt.
