Sweeet.  I need a similar suit to clean up my son's room...
15  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Dia de los Muertos Trio on: October 30, 2011 09:35:14 AM
This year I convinced my two buddies to dress up with me and do a Day of the Dead/Dia de los muertos theme.  It went very well.

We each chose one colour to go with in our makeup and flower choice: I chose red (and roses), my buddy did pink, and buddy #2 did orange.

For my costume I just took a black lacy spaghetti strap dress I already had, took it in a little at the top (belonged to a chestier friend), added a zipper at the back,, then tucked the straps inside the dress, and sewed a lei from teh dollar store around the top to get the off the shoulder flower thing.  I also got fishnetty wristlets from the dollar store and sewed red lace and fabric roses on em... and I sewed red lace onto one of my belts.

And on behalf of my buddy who does not Craftster, I wanted to show you the sweet little paper mache sugar skulls she made just for this event and her awesome-sauce hair

Thanks for looking!  Happy Halloween everyone!
16  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Twin Pirates :) on: October 30, 2011 09:21:55 AM
Cute!  And it's ok that they only have one good hand each, since they're twins and they can open pickle jars as a team.

You: rock because you made this and worried about whether two layers would be enough lol
Your Husband: rocks because he goes 100% for your couple-costumes.
