This is my Claim 1, 0 in progress, 0 Rec'd

About me –
Hello all,
I am a senior at a university in Portland, OR majoring in elementary education.  I live in Vancouver, Washington (United States) the rest of the year and I love everything about the Pacific Northwest; the rain, the trees, the green, the atmosphere, everything, and I love items inspired by the life here (nature etc).
I haven’t swapped in over half a year because of said school, and I’m ecstatic to get back into it.
I’m soon to move into my new apartment with some friends. Our themes are:
Kitchen – coffee and browns
Living room – vintage Hollywood glamour, deep red
Bedroom – mod, vintage, orange, floral.
I am a vegetarian so I don't want to receive any leather, but I don't mind receiving wool.
My favorite things to do are read and craft. My favorite crafts to do are crochet, sew (but my machine is currently out of commission), paper crafts, and jewelry making.
If you make me something pumpkin orange (like autumn/spicey/non-neon orange) I’ll love you forever. Besides pumpkin orange, I love almost all colors (not high-lighter shades or hunting orange) especially jewel tones, mustaches, trees, plants, leaves, flowers, coffee, peacock feathers, skeleton keys, books, poppies, honeybees/bumblebees (Melissa in Greek), chrysanthemums, dahlias, peonies, (I love bold florals), labradorite, the 1920's, Andy Warhol, sea glass, pearl, shells, Nancy Drew and Mario.
I love when people make me something that is their take on a theme inspiration.

Thanks for picking me!

24  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Tshirt latch hook area rug - or why I'm having children on: May 31, 2011 05:35:32 PM
That's a pretty perfect tutorial. I don't know if I can add much more to it than what she has... my pictures are basically the same but in orange. lol. So... if you need to ask questions you can totally ask me, but I'd suggest just using that.

I am out of school on April 30th, at which point I hope I will have some free time to finish up the tutorial... life has DEFINATELY gotten in the way of crafting... oh how I miss crafting... Cheesy Hopefully you can all wait that long, if not, just try to make thin tshirt yarn in 3 in pieces, and only hook in every other square and then stagger it on the next row you do.

26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Rasbery scarfy shawl! ♥ (lots of pics) on: February 28, 2011 03:49:00 PM
I'm absolutely in love with that! I think many good things loose their shape when they're not being worn, but it looks lovely on.

I second oldlady, where did you find that pattern? I've never seen it before....
27  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Universe underwear on: February 22, 2011 09:02:15 PM
Wow. I love these, and I SO want a pair now. Cheesy I too thought it was fabric and clicked because I wanted to find out where you bought it... I'm almost disappointed that you painted it, because I really want some! lol.

Great work, seriously don't feel nervous about giving them away (unless your nervous that you can never recreate them and you really want your own pair. lol)
28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Visit My Hometown Swap! on: February 09, 2011 03:41:38 PM
I would love to do a swap like this. Like a mini-vacation. Cheesy
However, I won't have time for a swap until May because of micro-teaching.
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hip to be RECTANGULAR!!!!! on: February 04, 2011 10:37:47 AM
I love it. Cheesy and I'm pretty sure they sold those at Michaels for awhile... I can't remember the brand name though... I just know I bought some stuff from the line when they went on clearance.
If I can remember I'll be sure to post it for you.

But it looks great!

These are super nice, they look like really high quality beads, and to think they're recycled! Great work!
