19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Beaded watch fastenings on: August 29, 2007 05:03:31 AM
I've made a few beaded watches (will try and post some pics soon) but I dont know how to fasten them. IF I use a normal bracelet fastening then they are difficult and it often needs someone else to fasten it for you. If I use a toggle fastening then its not very secure. Could I use a magnetic clasp or would that affect the watch mechanism in some way?

Any ideas?
20  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Newbie from Chesterfield on: July 25, 2007 02:09:32 AM
I'm Gem and I'm new to this site (it looks great tho! So many things on it!) and didnt really know where to post an into so I put in a in a few of the forums I am interested in - I hope thats ok.

I'm 22, married and live in Chesterfield, UK (anyone else live near). I have fibromyalgia and cant do a regular job but cant get an disability allowance or anything - partly because of this I am setting up my own business selling my hand-made cards and jewellery with the help of the Princess Trust and am joiing a few crafty websites for chat, friends, advice and inspiration.

This is my website so far - its just an instant site and isnt finished yet. www.gemcraftonline.co.uk.
I'd love any comments about my site or my cards and jewelley
