1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Resources and websites on: October 26, 2008 10:38:59 AM
My husband and I are just looking at buying out first house - the one we are looking at at the moment (but not 100% sure about) would need totally redecorating and we would start from a totally blank slate.
Are there any websites or books out there which would help us with ideas to decorate and entire three bedroom house?
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Some recent stuff on: June 28, 2008 09:06:30 AM
Its a long time since I posted any jewellery, but heres some of my more recent stuff

A necklace and bracelet set for my sister, I made the focal bead by painting wooden beads and covering them in scrapbook papers.

A simple hammered silver ring

Thanks for looking.
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Canadian muffins on: June 14, 2008 01:14:57 PM
Anyone got a recipe for authentic canadian muffins - I used to get them from the Canadian muffin company here in the UK and have been told they were authentic, I LOVED them but dont know how to make them.  Theyre less sweet and cake-like than muffins here but still come in sweet flavours.
4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Better than "half and half" bread on: May 19, 2008 05:17:27 AM
I am SOO pleased with this bread - its half white and half wholemeal. To be honest it just tastes like bread but I am SO pleased with how it looks. I might try again with a tastier bread recipe, this is just with instant yeast.

I also made some single colour spirals with the dough I had left (sort of bread swiss role)
- white spiral with honey - very nice
- wholemeal spiral with tomato and cheese - ok, a little too much tomato, too little cheese
- wholemeal with mashed banana and peanut butter - I know I have strange tastes but I knew I would like this one cos I make a very nice banana bread which is good with peanut butter!
5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Recipe for wholemeal sugar free scones? on: May 17, 2008 09:57:41 AM
I have eaten these in two different cafes and LOVE them but cant find a recipe - does anyone have one?
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Blogs on: May 15, 2008 05:28:01 AM
Hi, Im not sure where to post this but I shall try here.

I subscibe to a lot of crafty blogs which link to website and am thinking of doing something similar to link to my jewellery website to possily help increase sales. Has anyone done this?

Also does anyone know any good sites I can use, they need to be free. Im in the UK if that makes a difference?

7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Recipe blogs on: May 15, 2008 05:24:45 AM
Hi, Im not sure where to post this but I shall try here. My mum who isnt great with computers has asked if I can try and find her a good site where she can make a recipe blog/website along with me looking for one to go along with my jewellery business to try and increase internet sales.

Anyone got any ideas of sites which are especially good? But they need to be free, and easy to use. And we are in the UK if that makes a difference?
Examples of good blogs she can look at?
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / UK materials for painting shoes? on: April 20, 2008 01:34:20 PM
Theres loads of cute shoes on here but a lot of the stuff people use...like modge podge...I think is American and I dont know what is it!!
So anyone in the UK know what I can use to paint and seal shoes and where I can buy it from - I have fabric shoes and acrylic paints at the moment!
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / More silversmithing on: January 30, 2008 02:26:34 PM
Heres a little more of my silversmithing, mostly not finished yet

This one is a finished pendant

These second two are each just one piece of silver

This is a shaped but not polished ring. Also I wil probably put some decoration of some sort on the wings but not sure what yet

And this is just a preview, a basic mock up in scrap metal of another ring

Edit - perhaps i should say this last one is just a mock up for the design, just cut to shape so the edges would be filed and sanded to curves!!! Think smoothed edges, little stones/crystals somehow. I shall post when i make it!!!
10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Bread maker? on: December 31, 2007 06:29:47 PM
Not sure where if anywhere this belongs but wondered if anyone had a bread maker?

I love to make different types of bread - I like the process of the kneading, rising twice and baking - the old fashioned way. But my fibromyalgia doesnt like me doing it much now and we need more bread than i can make - does anyone have a good breadmaker they can recommend?
