1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / RESIN! Lots of sprinkles, IMG OBESE on: March 14, 2008 01:40:09 PM
It was close to impossible to keep my self from eating all these yummy sprinkles. I cast these all yesterday, took them out of the molds this morning, and cut off the extra resin from the edges and put in the little eye screws at school. Comments/Criticism welcome!

This one is my favorite, although I have no clue what to do with it. Its super shiny in person. The mold is the packaging from rhinestones.

I hand mixed the pink/lavender/white sprinkles my self in a bulk candy shop. yum!

I'm not sure exactly what this means by "AND" but it was one of the only hearts in the bag that wasn't destroyed and still had the writing on it.

I love bubbles in resin! It adds more dimension and sparklyness, (except when you can't get it out of resin that you don't want to have bubbles lol)

More candy hearts and sprinkles! I <3 hugs.

And this is all the rest:
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Lots of resin jewelry! [IMG CRAZY] on: February 20, 2008 04:31:50 PM
I love resin, I really, really do. These are some things I've made lately, that I never got around to posting. I really like comments/criticism because I'm fairly new at working with resin, and I think I need to make some improvements.

This is a necklace I made for my friend Justin, Its a cupcake I cut from a Hello Kitty valentine card, with purple glitter.

The apple is kind messed up, I didn't seal the picture very well before putting it in the resin. The flower I had drew/colored and actually wear that necklace a lot.

The bird one I made for a friend, and the image is from deviant art. It is not my own artwork, I'm probably infringing someone copyright by making that, but I'm not selling it or anything so I feel ok about it. lol The heart is purple resin with purple glitter
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Scrabble Tile Necklaces! on: February 20, 2008 03:17:47 PM
I finally got around to making some pretty necklaces from Scrabble tiles!

I glued the scrapbook paper, and them coated it in resin. It domed nicely.

Comment/Criticism are appreciated!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Scrabble Tile Necklaces on: January 29, 2008 04:11:32 PM
Has anyone written a tutorial or instructions for making these?

You know the ones where its a scrabble tile, with a picture on the front and a little thing on the back to attach to a necklace? I think they are coated with resin or something shiny and plastic-y and its slightly domed.

I've seen tons of them on Etsy, but not really here. If anyone wants a link to a picture, I will gladly post one.

I bought a pretty one from Etsy a few weeks ago, and its really inspired to try to make some for my self, and I can't get it to work right.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Felt ipod pouch on: January 05, 2008 11:20:17 PM
I was sick of my ipod getting constantly smashed around in my purse and randomly turning on, so I whipped up a cute little pouch in under ten minutes.  Smiley I know that it isn't perfect, but it works and I think its cute. I need to work on my sewing.

I actually didn't make this one my self, my mom made it for me and wanted me to post it. The fabric on the out side was from that fabric they sell in precut blocks for quilting. It has one pocket on the inside for my cellphone and it closes with two magnetic purse closing thingies.

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Bouncing Souls backpack on: August 14, 2007 02:54:26 PM
I made this stencil sometime last Christmas break out of boredom, and I had a plain ugly backpack. I used freezer paper and a razor blade. The red paint didn't puff up when I ironed it, but the yellow did so it turned out kinda cool.

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Funky little office guy with a bomb on: August 14, 2007 02:50:26 PM
This is not my original art, I got the image from a sticker I found online that a graffiti artist made, and I added the bomb lettering. I purposely wrinkled the fabric to make the print come out un-even and I'm pleased with the result. I used the drawing fluid method with soft fabric ink.

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Naruto t-shirt on: August 14, 2007 02:45:42 PM

This is not my first shirt, but it was quite a challenge. My boyfriend wanted a shirt, so he sent me this image from a manga. It took what seemed like forever to trace it on the screen and fill it in with drawing fluid. I didn't get a picture of the shirt I printed for him on a blank bright blue shirt, but I printed my self this one on yellow.

10  COOKING / Dessert / Fabulous Frozen Coffee on: July 12, 2007 01:02:31 PM
I made the most wonderful frozen chocolate coffee today. I hope this is the right place to post this. I've been trying to get just the right mix of coffee/milk/ice cream for the longest time. This has been my favorite.

3/4 cup extra strong coffee
2 cups ice
1 cup milk
1/4 cup chocolate ice cream
a little bit of vanilla extract

Throw it all in the blender, and make it smooth. I topped mine with whipped cream, maybe next time I'll use caramel or hazelnut syrup. Crushed Oreo cookies might be good on top also.
