1  Texas / Texas: Coastal / Need Seamstress In Houston TX on: June 24, 2010 02:58:17 AM
I have an event coming up, and need an outfit made. It's nothing too complicated, but I'm not finding anything off the rack.

I need it by July 3rd, I am willing to meet up in the city to discuss this. I realize it's on very short notice.

Please respond if you can offer your services, even if not for this event. I have quite a few garments I would like to comission.

PM or e-mail me jen.i.fuhr at gmail dot com

if you just need something the size of a standard credit card (I assume that's what you mean by license) I have a LOT of starbucks gift cards that I could mail to you.

I have no intention of making a profit from it, and will not credit it as mine. Smiley Please?
4  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Baked Oatmeal! on: January 11, 2010 08:18:46 PM
I just made this and it tastes great! I baked it in a large cake pan instead of an 8x8 do it's thin and crumbly, but i put it in some plain yogurt and it was the bomb. You definitely made my mornings more exciting. Grin
5  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: All Veggie "Bolognese" Sauce! on: January 11, 2010 08:16:18 PM
I just made a huge batch of this. I added some chayote, squash and mushrooms. It is the most filling and yum pasta sauce ever! Which is a good thing because it looks like I'm going to be eating this for a while.  Grin thank you for the recipe!

Haha as a fellow barista I would love this as a gift. Our manager got us christmas presents, and at the very bottom of the bag was a 10 pack of black sharpies. Best gift ever.

I would love to be one of the people that you hand this out to.  Wink

Also I painstakingly deciphered the letter before realizing you had typed it out underneath. Embarrassed

My all time favorite fabric, and I think the color is lovely.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / wedding pins/brooches (pics) on: November 18, 2008 06:58:51 PM
I have been put in charge of making a batch of pins/brooches similar to the ones traditionally used for the groom's lapel.

I am looking for any ideas on the pattern I should use.
this is what they looked like when we had them made for the other wedding. We didn't really like them as they were small, plain and were not the same green that we used everywhere else.

you can't see them very well in this picture because of the flash, but you can see the color that we used and how the pins looked mostly white from a distance.

you can see that the groom's was bigger and a bit different, but still not to my liking. excuse him for looking silly, I told him to look sexy for his wedding picture.

and a picture of the happy couple, thrown in for good measure.
can anybody please give me some help.
the new colors are burnt orange and gold accents, similar to the poster who did the (super awesome) fall wedding. also, think Gaby Solis when she gets married on DH.
