I love all the sets you made, but the favorite pieces are the macaroons, so lovely. You made a great work and have so much patience for such a little pieces.

Hi Carnabystreet! I love how you create all the textures of the hair, the jacket, the skin, the jeans and also the shadow. Great work!
43  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: gatorland on: April 17, 2009 03:59:41 PM
My grandmother is 75 and it's a great knitter but she so strict and doesn't have teaching skills so I only can knit loooong chains. Your post gives me the motivation to finally learn to knit, thanks. Again, your scarfs are amazing!

I think I spent about 45 minutes on one inchie this evening.  I am so tempted to keep it, but will be sending out just because I spent such a ridiculous amount of time on it.  But It's given me yet another idea for a series.

What's the longest amount of time you've spent on one inchie?

I also spent a lot of time in some of my inchies because I had to draw, transfer, cut, sew and glue. In other design I have to make a little dummy for it and spent almost an hour to get the very final result, then I repeated the process for the other 9 inchies.

Also I used a modeling paste for others and when I showed the results to one of my brothers he told me that the material looks like a dry chewed gum... Ewww!  Embarrassed

Ok they are all ready to go, since its to similarly paper obsessed people like myself, I went to the tiny village post office and got the postmistress to rifle through the stamps, we have some very pretty small denomination stamps, so I have managed to squeeze 5 on each envelope, They will be on the way to my partners today,

here is what they look like (address covered up of course!)

Yay! Group 4 rocks! Can't wait to see my inchies and the awesome stamps (I'm resisting clicking on your link to your other post...)

I'm nearly done and hope to send out this Saturday. Some of my inchies seem too plain so I may have to jazz them up a bit but otherwise i think i've had mostly success with my first round of inchies.

eldeC you rocks! I also put a draw on the evelopes, a little corny one  Grin. Today I got my first set form Smmarrt and it's awesome.

JennyBear, this is also my first round of inchies and those little things give me so much work but it worth it. I'm going to send them out on Saturday, I hope you like them.

I need to ask where you guys get such little images. I'm thinking printer. See, I sat down to work on my inchies the other day, so I grabbed a copy of Rolling Stone and started cutting, only later realizing that I didn't cut out a single thing that would work on an inchie.

GROUP FOUR: INCHIES SPOILER

I have finished mine and I only use one image from a magazine and some prints. I like so much miniatures and make some for my inchies: A little book, a heart and a sugar skull. The fun of inchies is that you can use any material for them!

I thought my inchies would be in my mail by today but life had other plans... 2 major events at work, a car accident, a funeral, and last, so far, being laid out flat with a nasty cold since Friday night.  And my car was only 2 weeks old when the deer ran into it.  I looked for the deer the night it happened and the next morning, but couldn't find it.  I just hope it's OK.  The car still isn't fixed, but it's safe to drive.

But I can finally hold my head up today, so I'll get some more work done on the inchies.

prettyinpink, I actually have a bunch on Obama inchies I've been working on.  I'm in a year-long swap based on Obama's election so I've been making those for a larger piece.  Most all of them are Photoshopped.

Ohh... so sorry to hear about the car accident, the funeral and the cold... I hope you feel better!

It would be nice if you, in the future, post the pics of those Obama's inchies.
