31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Inchies Exchange R3 Gallery on: May 08, 2009 07:42:56 AM
I got a set of inchies from prettyinkpink yesterday, and I "heart" them Wink

The one on the left has a great deal of texture with a "chunky" layer of crystal pieces. The next one is a fantastic little poetry book. Then, there are some shell rectangles, followed by a heart with embroidered accents, and then a collage with a photo that has some small stamped flowers, a felt flower and some text (I think it translates to "smiles" or "smiling."). I love them all!

I'm very glad you like them  Grin

All the beads are amazing, the turtles are so cute, but the other ones looks so yummy, like candies. I love the color selection.

35  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Black Masks and Gasoline... on: April 28, 2009 03:58:56 PM
Fellow craftster, I'm Mexican and live in Mexico City  Cry Unfortunately the situation is getting worst. I have my mask N95 and I use it on public transportation or where is a little crowded. I only have ONE mask of this kind and right now it's impossible to get another  Sad. I know that the mask made of fabric is not enough against the virus but I made one in order to use at my office, where I'm alone. Tonight I'm going to make another fabric masks for me and my family. The specialist told us that this fabric mask is effective from 10 min to an hour (I really don't know if this is true, please give me some light in this), so if you want to try this kind you have to make several and change it every hour. Take care.

36  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Inchies Exchange! Rd 3 - Closed - Sendouts (5/6) on: April 28, 2009 01:45:09 PM
Woo hoo!  I sent out all of my inchies today over lunch.

The only issue is that I somehow lost 1 inchie, so my stay-at-home set is 4 until I find the missing inchie.  I wonder if my cat stole the inchie for her personal collection???

The same thing happened to me, I only have 4 inchies. I don't have cats and my brothers don't like my crafting* so I'm not sure where the fifth one can be.  Sad

* They called them chcharas, in Spanish means something useless...

38  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Luchadors!!!!!!!!!! 4 Mexican Masked Wresters on: April 24, 2009 08:13:46 PM
Thanks folks!

I kinda wish that there were Lucha things around these parts, but they are scarce. I have to rely on the web and youtube for all that goodness.

I love Lucha Libre since I was a little girl. I have some action figures of mi idols like "Perro Aguayo", "Blue Demon", "Dr. Wagner", etc. I also have a little boxing ring hanging on one of my walls. Right now, since we can watch American wrestling on national channels, our Lucha Libre it's changing in order to get more audience. In the 60's the figure of luchador was so important because of "Santo", who became a kind of superhero who fights against different kind of enemies, from drug dealers (or narcos) to classic horror monsters (Frankenstein, Dracula, Werewolves), aliens, etc.

Anyway, thank you, your work fueled my passion.

As a Mexican fanatic of Lucha Libre I have to tell that I love your work. I like how you use bright colors for the back of all the paintings that remind me the Loteria cards. Fantastic job!
