11  starbuck's snowmen (IMG heavy) in Winter Holidays by metalpunkmonster on: November 13, 2007 10:55:34 AM
a few years ago i was addicted to starbuck's bottled frappuccino.  as i was sitting there enjoying another one, i looked at the bottle and noticed that the cap looked like a little hat.  EUREKA!  a little paint, pompoms, pipe cleaners, and varnish later and...

the starbuck's snowman was born!

12  reindeer spoons in Winter Holidays by metalpunkmonster on: November 13, 2007 10:47:43 AM
i made these little guys a few years ago.  they were pretty easy and fun to make.  i just painted wooden spoons and decorated them with pipe cleaners, googley eyes, pompoms, and bells.  for the arms, i just wrapped a pipe cleaner around the handle of a paintbrush.  then i glued a tiny black pompom on the end for a hoof.  the ears are just small bits of pipe cleaners that i bent in a V-shape.  i used black puffy paint for the mouth.  i also put a coat of varnish on the spoons to make the reindeer look more finished.

13  Re: eevee evolution cross stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by metalpunkmonster on: October 30, 2007 10:08:32 AM
here's my pattern.  the lime green represents the blank canvas.  i don't remember what exact colors i used for this.  they all got mixed in with the rest of my floss.  use your best judgment when picking colors.

14  eevee evolution cross stitch (pattern on page 3) in Needlework: Completed Projects by metalpunkmonster on: July 31, 2007 12:51:20 AM
This is the first pattern that I designed myself!  I'm so proud!  I simply downloaded sprites, enlarged them, and added a grid.  It was so easy!

Sorry the pic's not so great.  My camera was acting up, then the stitches got distorted when I resized the image.  Undecided

The Pokemon are vaporeon, jolteon, flareon, umbreon, espeon, and, of course, cute little eevee!

I made this for a friend.  Even though he's 23, he still loves Pokemon, and eevee and it's evolutions are his favorites.

...ok, I'm also 23 and I'll admit that I still love Pokemon too... Roll Eyes
