3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Need Advice - Smelly Yarn on: August 22, 2007 09:41:13 AM
Hi everyone! I just got some yarn in the mail that I ordered from a lady on ebay. It all smells like smoke!  Sad I took it all out of the box and I'm trying to air it out basically. Any advice on how to get the smell out? I bought it to use for preemie blankets for babies in NICUs for a group I'm in. But I don't want to send blankets that smell like smoke, one because it stinks, two because it's not good for babies at all to be around the smell let alone preemies and three I certainly wouldn't wrap my baby in a blanket that stinks like smoke and I assume neither would some other mother. Any help would be great! I've thought about Febreeze. Anyone think that would work? Or if you have other suggestions let me know!
