1  polka-dots - woohoo! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by agah on: August 09, 2007 11:04:12 AM
This is the first dress I've ever made - although I had lots of help from my mom. I think it turned out quite well  Smiley

Close up of the bodice:

Again, ignore the hair  Wink It was air-drying.

I used New Look 6699. It was a pretty good pattern, but called for WAY more fabric than was needed. I ended up shortening the skirt by at least a foot (I'm short  Embarrassed ). The straps were also way too long, and I think they look kinda weird in this position. And the loop around the rouching (is that even the right word?) kept moving to the sides so I got fed-up and sewed it into place. It looks kinda strange that way, but at least it's not constantly moving around.

Woohoo for first dresses!

2  Music skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by agah on: August 09, 2007 10:58:11 AM
I got this fabric for about $2, so I decided to make a skirt for twirly dancing purposes  Grin

Don't pay attention to the hair; my hair falls out if I blow dry it, so it was air-drying Tongue

3  Metric cross-stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by agah on: July 16, 2007 04:21:49 PM
I came across some old Aida cloth a while ago and was bored so I decided to make use of it.

The quote is from a Metric song...I don't feel like double checking right now but I think it was Soft Rock Star.

It still needs to be ironed and theres some pencil marks I can't seen to get rid of... Undecided

Now I'm stuck on what to do with it.

You guys have such amazing hair. I want curls so badly - but my hair is so stubborn that no matter what I do they just go stick straight an hour after curling. Ugh.

This was my hair last September, right after I got it done.

I got bored with the pink so I decided to match my hair to my hoodie.

It faded to a really gross shade of green so it was time to revisit the beloved pink. I got some really sweet horizontal stripes in there, I don't know if you can really see them in these pictures though.

I needed to quickly get it back to one colour (long story) and the only thing that would cover all the shades was a dark colour...so I went for  a dark reddish purple thing - I don't remember the exact name.

Anyhow, I want to lighten my hair to it's natural colour (a really light shade of blond). How would I do that without some sort of bleach? I'm trying to avoid that at all costs.

See my frustration.
