1461  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Me as a Fairy =O on: August 21, 2007 10:37:12 AM
So I might be a tad old to be playing dress-up, but I took a volunteer position at a daycamp.
They love it when you dress up so, well.... it's for the kids  Cheesy

Me... as a fairy XD
This is also my first project I've posted ^^

Sadly the skirt was not my design - I found it at Winners.
The top and wings were made the night before I had to wear them (yikes!)
And no, the wings weren't usually that crooked, it's a bad pic. I also had a fairy wand (a pink plastic sunflower from the Dollarstore) but I only thought of it after.

By the way, I have some of the sparkly top fabric left - what can I make out of it?

1462  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Birthday Cake! WARNING: ADULT CONTENT!!!! on: August 21, 2007 09:50:03 AM
I'm sure he was surprised XD

nice rack Wink
On a side note, I remember last year at school I had this rack-thing in my locker to hold stuff. I was talking to some of my friends and this guy came along and said "nice rack" (as a pun I guess ^^; ) but I didn't quite get it untill about a minute went by. Meanwhile all my friends were laughing at what happened.

I really like the second, for some reason the first seems really lumpy :S

They're definatlely good for your first Cheesy but I don't really have tips on hand sewing :S so good luck finding some!
1464  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Music inspired bracelets and a hot pink & black junk bracelet on: August 21, 2007 09:32:42 AM
The music ones are cool, but I absolutely love the junk bracelet  Cheesy
(heck, I'd definately buy one of those)

Where'd you get all those crafty beads from?

1466  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Sweet Sixteen - need a place to party on: August 21, 2007 09:22:08 AM
Personally, I had mine at a college nearby.
They had an amazing room that was surrounded by windows on three sides and had a separate entrance.
My mom said it was a *lot* cheaper than a room in a hotel or a golf club or something (it was apparently a bit less than the comunity centre and a LOT nicer) , and you can caiter it yourself or get it caitered ^^

As an added bonus, my mom somehow talked one of the college guys that was studying a few rooms over to light my birthday cake  Wink
It was hilarious.

good luck finding a place! Cheesy

"the very best part was at the end when we were cleaning. and neil asked where the trash bags were. and i ripped one off a barstool."
XD That made my day.
Looks like an awesome party Cheesy
1468  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Need My Little Pony Party Ideas on: August 21, 2007 08:44:09 AM
Pin the tail on the pony? XD
I don't know how well that'd work with the age group though.

I'd say pony masks - but that'd probably be kind of scary  Undecided
Ooh, make your own tail?
I'd sure that you could make some kind of craft-station with various strands of fabric, yarn, etc.
have them pick the stuff they want in their tail, then you tie it together and either attatch it to an elastic, pin it to them, or tie it around them (depending on the weight)
It's a thought ^^;

I hope your party turns out amazingly! I'm sure it will  Cheesy
1469  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: SpongeBob Birthday Party on: August 21, 2007 08:24:44 AM
I wish I was invited!  Cheesy

That looks like an absolutely amazing party, and so crafty too!
I love all the ideas you came up with and especially like the Jellyfish ^^ (so cute! )
1470  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: MONSTER PURSE!! AHHHH! (With lame-sauce tutorial.) on: August 19, 2007 04:25:38 PM
Don't worry, I can see the eyelashes  Cheesy

I was actually in the process of thinking about making one of these beauties. Except the only kind of fur-stuff I have is orange with swirls, and I'd prefer a blue and/or green and/or purple monster... so I'm waiting for a sale  Smiley

Yours turned out amazingly!
Happy future crafting!
