41  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Etiquette on: June 17, 2007 10:25:17 AM
As far as etiquette goes, by the way, there is nothing wrong with wearing a non-white dress, as long as it is not too somber for the occasion. The pattern you picked out seems very dignified and lovely. Thus, anyone who complains about gold or any other festive color is acting like a poo-head.
Thus saith me.
ps you will lose the weight, be patient. Breastfeeding definitely helps.

42  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Suggestions on what to use for Glinda crown on: June 17, 2007 10:11:15 AM
I was looking at pictures of Glinda online and her crown seems to be an opaque silvery thing. I think that something you can just spraypaint solid silver might be good, and you can just concentrate on getting the height of the crown right. Some of the plastic materials sound too heavy to make a crown that tall without it being uncomfortable to wear.

I think that a good "countess" look might be Elizabeth of Bathory. That would, I think, require an Elizabethan collar, though, which is probably better purchased on ebay or something than made.
44  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Camper's Swap. Sign Ups Closed - Send by June 11 on: June 11, 2007 02:15:17 PM
I sent mine out today. This goes against everything in my procrastinating nature. Craftster, you have transformed me.
45  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Halloween all year round on: June 11, 2007 09:28:48 AM
I think that you could make a great Halloween sweater or hat. A lot of the Halloween t-shirts and stuff that come out are really sort of cheap and crummy because we don't celebrate a Halloween "season" like Christmas. I love your stuffies idea too.

You could also wear gold metallic shoes-- they always have that Egyptian look.
47  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / vintage look on: June 11, 2007 09:22:32 AM
I love that vintage Halloween look! That seems to be what the magazines are showing nowadays and I really like it. Good job.
48  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What can I make with quilt blocks? on: June 01, 2007 08:01:38 AM
You can apply them to a tree skirt made of felt for a very easy project.

I've heard you can make a baby bassinette skirt out of a wedding dress or other full-skirted gown.
I myself was baptized in a gown made out of a wedding dress. The lace is spectacular. If you don't have a baby you can donate fancy baby dresses to fundraisers.
50  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Western Wear clothing ideas on: March 27, 2007 11:16:39 AM
If you have a friend with a bedazzler type stud setter, you can try and decorate a shirt, even a t-shirt, or shorts with western designs.
