I know they're not that great but they're the first jack-o-lanterns Hubbles and I have gotten to carve together so I am very proud of them!

Mine is the vampire, his is the random guy with one eyebrow. Smiley

Ahw how cute I have Owlys' 'Summer in a Skunk Suit' and her patterns are awesome aren't they? I love yours b/c she is camo colored. You weren't kidding about your sister being Dino obssesed.

They are awesome, I'm currently modifying it to make my Hubby a little boy in a Moogle suit Tongue  And I went with camo colored because since her "Big Bubba" is an "Army Man" she is all about the cammo.

She has been dino obsessed since she was an infant .. it came out of nowhere and just stuck for the past 8 years .. she's been a dinosaur for Halloween every year since she was 3 and old enough to voice her opinion on costumes haha.

So what do you give your baby sister who is obsessed with dinosaurs for Christmas?  A doll of her in a dinosaur costume of course!

I used Owly's Luke in a dinosaur costume and whipped this up in one night .. the pattern was amazing!  I used an H hook instead of a G but other than that followed it to a tee .. well the colors are different of course but ya know.  I still need to add hair and am debating on a mouth.  Opinions?

And just for fun, the baby sister.  Told ya she was obsessed Tongue

36  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / All in a days work (IMG Heavy) on: October 13, 2007 08:06:28 PM
So being an Army wife, I am constantly surrounded by at least 6-10 boys who most times act like they are 12 years old.  Usually I hide in my craft room and they play video games in the living room and leave me alone, but this morning the three who actually reside in the house with me (Hubbles and two roomies) caught me looking at stencilry and declared they needed homemade shirts more than AIR!  After many hours of cutting, painting, fighting with the printer, and declaring that if they ever so much as think about asking for anything again they were getting an x-acto knife to a very select place, these shirts were born Wink

Hubbles .. er I mean Darth .. Micah/Clone Trooper, and Jake/Bobba.

Their real faces Tongue

Hubbles in his Zombie shirt .. isn't he precious?

Micah in his Dawn of the Dead shirt .. I am SO proud of this one, by far my most complicated shirt to date Tongue

Jake's 24 shirt .. apparently it's a running joke on the show?  Can't you tell I've never seen an episode?

Please let me know what you think!!

What a fantastic shirt!  My minor in college was ASL, despite the fact that everyone tried to tell me it was impractical .. I have used it more than I have used my major in the real world!  Haha Tongue
38  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: iPod touch holder! on: October 10, 2007 08:09:52 AM
iPod Touch? Is it like the iPhone? Well anywayz I love theholder especially the colors you did great.

It has a touch screen and the same basic interface as the iPhone (I think .. I don't have an iPhone so I'm not sure) but it's just an iPod .. the only difference between it and a regular iPod is that it has a touch screen and WiFi capabilities.
39  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / iPod touch holder! on: October 09, 2007 09:17:55 PM
So I got an iPod touch and was paranoid about using it because I didn't want to scratch the screen at all, since one scratch would really mess up the whole touch feature and I have a bad habit of that.  So, I decided to whip up a holder for it to carry in my purse .. so now maybe I can take the protective plastic off that it came in .. maybe Wink

All cozy inside

Close up of the stitching and pretty yarn Smiley
40  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Favorite Afghan Pattern? on: October 08, 2007 08:53:15 PM
So I just finished the 12 point ripple afghan for the 2 year old that I Nanny for, and would like to make an afghan for her 9 month old sister as well .. I already have the yarn for it but I need to find a pattern .. so please suggest your favorite afghan pattern.  I'm fairly intimidated by any afghans that start with ch (insert insane number here) and would prefer to work in rounds like the ripple afghan or a granny square afghan .. I have considered the little star afghan but it doesn't really go with the theme of her nursery which is very girlie .. think flowers and dresses and pink and such Tongue

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
