21  Everyone's Favorite Wizard (VERY IMAGE HEAVY) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 20, 2007 11:10:08 AM
I thought my Dobby costume tonight needed something extra .. so I decided to crochet a Harry Potter to carry around .. whatcha think?  My Hubbles thinks it needs a nose but I kind of like him without?  Well any comments or suggestions would be helpful before tonight Wink

22  Harry Potter & Spew! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 19, 2007 06:51:10 AM
I decided to try my hand at stenciling for the first time in order to make costumes for tomorrow nights book release party for Hubbles and me.  Not too bad if I say so myself .. the freezer paper works wonders!

My House Elf top .. I also crocheted a hat for the costume (pics are in the crochet section) Wink

Front of Hubbles Quidditch shirt (the spots are from the camera lens, not on the shirt)

Back of Hubbles Quidditch shirt

Close up of back ..

Whatcha think?

23  Yet Another House Elf :) in Crochet: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 19, 2007 06:47:09 AM
First off many thanks to kbauer for helping me out with the ears .. I liberally followed the pattern you gave me and then folded it in half to make more pointy ears .. they're still a bit floppy but I think they came out really cute.  As for the hat, somehow the brim got HUGE on me and so I actually had to fold it in half and sew it up the side, haha .. but it still came out really cute I think!

Poor Hubbles best friend got stuck modeling it for me Wink

24  Totoro in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 13, 2007 12:06:03 PM
My best friend is leaving soon for an internship at Disney, so I wanted to make her something that would remind her of me while she was gone Tongue  Her favorite cartoon as a child was "My Neighbor Totoro", so what better to make?

Although he didn't come out nearly as cute as I'd hoped, and was FAR BIGGER than I expected .. I'm kind of disappointed with how he came out, but I learned a lot of new stuff while doing him so *shrugs*

25  It's A Us - Mario & Luigi! in Halloween Costumes by MrsGraves on: July 13, 2007 10:00:27 AM
This is from quite a few Halloweens ago, but I wanted to share anyway.  It's Hubbles and I dressed as Mario & Luigi back in college .. the hardest part was finding overalls to fit him! (He's 6'4")

I've already started trying to get ideas for this years Halloween costumes, but I'm pretty stumped.  Hmmm.

26  Rainbow Monkey :) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 05, 2007 11:21:58 AM
One of my best friends is going into the hospital next week for Gastric Bypass Surgery, so I decided to make her something to keep her spirits up and wish her well.  Her nickname for me is "Monkey", so what better than a bright Rainbow Monkey?!  I also put a little angel pin on it Smiley

My poor Hubbles puts up with my random crochet photoshoots so well .. I should make something for him someday Wink

P.S. Pattern came from here:

27  Re: Lavender Bunny for a Baby Now with Pattern! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: July 02, 2007 01:38:09 PM
I finally finished mine!  It took a bit longer than I expected mostly because I had to keep taking breaks and my ADD was acting up Tongue  I had to alter the pattern a bit for the legs & ears as the stitch counters were off, but I think it came out very cute!  I called him Bunns while I was working on him, he was delivered to a friend's 6 year old son earlier today so hopefully he will have a good home Smiley

29  Two Granny Square Afghans in Crochet: Completed Projects by MrsGraves on: June 27, 2007 05:15:27 PM
Hello all!  I'm new here but I wanted to post and show off the two afghans I've made so far.  I know they're not the regular Granny Square, but I don't remember what it's actually called .. it's just doing a Granny Square over and over and over haha Tongue  They're both for my husband, the first was his present for graduating Basic Training, and the second (that is currently still being worked on) is for his birthday (which is July 7th .. I'd better get moving Tongue)

The first one was the first thing I've ever crocheted.  My Nanny is the worlds greatest crocheter (in my opinion Tongue) and my mama is one of those people that can look at something and figure out how to make it, so I figured I should get started on learning and doing some projects!  I must say it is MUCH easier than knitting Tongue

Hope you like them, I'd love some opinions Smiley
