1  quilt for my new baby cousin! in Quilting: Completed Projects by karissabissa on: October 24, 2004 04:34:03 PM
I've been lurking around Craftster on a regular basis now and thought I'd share the quilt I just finished for my new baby cousin.  I was trying make it a manly little quilt hence the darker plaids.  The quilt is 36x48 inches w/ a back of soft, dark blue flannel.  I guess it's not officially quilted.  I just made little ties in the corners of each strip to keep the batting from shifting.  Hopefully it holds up okay!

I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out - I feel so proud!  heehee!  It's actually the perfect size for a lap blanket and went together pretty quickly so I'm toying with the idea of making a similar one for my Dad because he likes to curl up on the couch with a book and a blanket a lot during in the winter.

Anyways...thanks for letting me share.  I've learned soooooo much already from everybody on these boards.  Smiley
